- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5The book is an oversimplification of mindful communication and pro-active methods for emotional intelligence. If you know what those things are this book is not for you. The core concept of it can be summarised on an A4 page. There were some interesting points that made me reflect on my communication patterns, but the author describes their method as almost something universal that would work in all cases, which is far from reality. The author’s approach to communication is rather one-sided and narrow-minded and unfortunately does not provide the reader/listener with any other tools to develop their communication and non-violent thinking, but really just feels like an 1st chapter of a greater book on non-violent communication, thinking and lifestyle.
