Dear Ali,

I’ve struggled with my sexuality since I was a teen. I first thought I was gay and then later fell for a man and so came out again as pan/bi. Lately a lot of prominent bisexual influencers have been coming out as gay and I can’t help but feel like this is perpetuating the idea that bisexuality isn’t real. As a bisexual / pan I often feel invalidated in queer spaces and losing these figures makes me feel more insignificant than before.

How do I not feel like something has been taken from me every time
