5 stars. Book ONE. Story hooked me during the first chapter. Most of this book was heartbreaking. I'm now going to binge read book 2 and 3. Kandi Steiner's new to me.The narrators were excellent, although in book one Sebastian does not start narrating until the last few chapters.

Some of this kind of drug on too much. It's a great story full of heartache. Honestly, and at this point, I'm not sure what my choice is for her. I know I wouldn't want to be in her shoes lol.

This follows Charlie who has been in a marriage for the past eight years. Five years ago everything changed and the husband I once knew is now a shadow. Lonely, lost and trying to get my husband to see me again. Convincing myself we can fix this but maybe I'm the problem? Now I'm face to face with a man I once knew. Battling a past now colliding with my present and future. How will this end?

The book had me gripped. The plot twist towards the end I didn't see coming with the MMC. I felt so bad for Charlie and what she had been dealing with. But it was getting frustrating when over and over again she was trying to convince herself she could be happy again with her husband. I'm all the way team Reece this man cares even though it's been a long time. He can see and is watching her fade away but is determined to find that girl he once knew which made me swoon. Cameron the husband makes me angry and makes me more frustrated with his grand gesture at the end. This was a rollercoaster of emotions for sure. Starting the next book very soon!
