This is book two of this series, told in first person POV by Hazel and leaves you on a type of cliffhanger. You get answers to the main mystery that surrounds this story. Although you are left hanging by your nails trying to hold on with your feet on the edge of your seat wanting more, all while guessing on how Hazel and Eli will get the miracle she needs.

The Narrator, Joanna Roddy, did a great job of bringing these characters and this story to life. There were times I felt like I was in the thick of it with Hazel and her various supernaturals trying to piece together this mystery. She did a great job with all the different voices, although it did throw me for a loop with how masculine she made Maxine “Max” sound. Other than that, she was able to keep my attention and deliver a story you will be sure to love.

I love how Hazel found herself in a bit of a love triangle for a brief moment. I also love the slow burn romance between her and Eli. I love the banter and seriousness of the characters and can’t wait to see how this next adventure goes.

These thoughts and opinions are my own and left voluntarily after reading and listening for my own personal enjoyment.
