About this audiobook

A male/female romance set in the Saint View world. No prior knowledge of the world is needed to start this hot new series.

I’m the ruling queen of Saint View Strip. After growing up poor, taking my clothes off and dancing for men is all I know. My thriving club and the people I employ are everything. They’re my ride or die, and I’m theirs.

Nobody is taking them away from me.

So when a local politician announces plans to bulldoze everything I’ve spent the last ten years working for, I won’t be silenced.

Not by some suit.

And not by the cops.

Joshua Boston can arrest me all he wants. He can come at me with strong arms and piercing eyes that make my insides tingle. He can push me up against the wall and cuff me all day long.

I’ll still hate him.

I’ll still want him.

In this town of gangs, shootings, and dangers around every corner, no one is safe. I’m no damsel in distress, but when a violent threat ups the stakes, it’s Boston I’m forced to turn to.

We may hate each other, but the real enemy is the one neither of us will see coming.

Evil Enemy is a dark romance that may have triggers for some readers. It was first published in the Hate to Want You Anthology.

I loved the other RH series in this shared world so I knew I would love this M/F standalone in the series spinoff/4th series in this world. I didn't realize a lot of the side characters in this one were from the others series (it has been awhile since I listened to some of the others) so now I want to go back and re-listen so I can figure out who is who hahaha.

I loved that this author gave us this love story. I was so intrigued by Eve in the prison series and wanted to know more and was hoping she would pair up with Boston after their confrontation at the family dinner night after the incident. Boy was the tension ???. I liked how reluctant they both were, how they realized they were attracted to one another and finally just gave into their feelings/urges. There was a great mix of action and sexy times and the smutty scenes....soooooo good!!! I also loved how much I laughed in this one especially with her gag gift that was labeled/named hahaha. I liked the couple twists we got in this one, I was wrong with my guess on who was behind a lot of the thing. I thought it was someone we had met already and was not a nice person but the twist helped set up another standalone in this series so totally made sense and I liked how it got there. I was kinda shocked about the familiar twist for one of the characters, we will see how that goes (I am assuming there will be cameos in the upcoming standalones in this new series). OH and the emotion with Jayella’s murder....like I knew it was coming, I had listened to the 3 trilogies before getting this one and it hurt I feel like way more in this one coming from her partner’s perspective. Especially with his last interaction with her ?. I do wish we go to see the resolution with her murderer from Boston’s POV. To get his reaction with the big reveal.

Narration was great, the male narrator is one of my all-time favorites and he did a fabulous job! So drool worthy and the emotional range was great especially with how closed off this character started off as. Great job staying in character and really bringing him (and the other characters) to life. The female narrator did well too. I have a ton of other audiobooks in my library with her in it, I just haven’t listened to her yet. I definitely will be checking out more from her and see if she will be added to my immediate listen/one-click narrator list ❤️

This author has become one of my favorite finds over the last year, I love her writing pace and story structure, haven’t found a story yet that I gave under 4 stars to.

Amazing story. Is it predictable, of course but it is well written and the fact that it is narrated by Troy Duran and Michelle Sparks in duet made me me curious and I don’t regret it. I encourage you to listen
