About this audiobook
Have you ever brought your ex-husband home and pretended to still be married?
Yeah, me either.
When my local hospital calls to say “I’m sorry to tell you this, but your husband has been in an accident” I try to explain the basics to them.
- I am not married—anymore. (Archie Dunmore is a thing of the past.)
- If there’s a husband in the hospital, it’s not mine.
Except Archie is back, and he's been in an accident. One that has left him with amnesia. Yup. He believes we’re still happily married. Oh joy.
Too bad for me, the doctor believes it would be best for Archie to remember things on his own. He needs familiar surroundings to heal.
No big shocks.
No emotional trauma.
Which means I can’t tell him the truth.
Archie bursts back into my life with all the warmth and joy of a freshly married man, confident that I’m the love of his life, and determined to fix the rift between us.
Except how do I tell him that he walked out on me?
Especially when Archie is desperately trying to remember what I’ve worked so hard to forget.
What’s a girl to do with an amnesiac ex-husband at her breakfast table?
Content TW: Adult conversations discussing substance abuse and assault.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5What would you do with a second chance at love?
Meyer and Archie have been divorced for awhile and when she gets a call that he's been in an airplane accident and she's listed as his contact, she brings him home. He's lost the last two years and doesn't remember the divorce. I thought it was entertaining to watch her try to make it look like he still lived there, and to do and say things to keep things calm and not upset or trigger him.
It was obvious they still shared a spark of connection and attraction, yet I could understand Meyer's torn feelings of wondering if he would remember and she would lose him once again or if they could try again. That would be a tough situation to be in and I loved the way Carina Taylor played things out.
There were some bittersweet and tender moments, and it was such a joy to know that after the split, Meyer figured out what she wanted in life and went for it. It was also sweet to see the bridges being built tenuously once again. I loved watching this couple together, especially with the growing up they did.
From start to finish, this was an enjoyable story!
Content: non-descriptive plane accident; mild+ language; mild romance - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This was such a cute story. The end was super sweet. I loved it. Great job!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5It wasn’t the worst. However, the female lead was whiny and the male lead annoyed me. He needed to provide a better excuse for leaving her. Honestly because of my personal bias towards him, I felt like he tricked her into choosing him.
