About this audiobook

I hated Miles Crowe more than itchy socks, "namaste" puns on yoga tank tops, and chigger bites. Combined.

Twenty-six-year-old New Orleans native Elle Jones used to be the internet's most famous meme for rejection thanks to an embarrassing teenage TV appearance. But she's finally put that past behind her and now she's killing it as a commercial real estate agent in the coolest neighborhoods in the city.

When Miles Crowe-the former pop star who made her notorious-insists on hiring her to find a property for his jazz club, she'll do everything she can to get herself fired before he realizes who she is.

But Miles has grown up too, and Elle soon discovers that he is as passionate about the city as she is . . . and even sexier now than he was then. Will she risk exposing her humiliating past to claim a future with the guy who once nearly ruined her life?

Good narration overall, but warning that you can hear her clearing her throat and swallowing throughout, which is so distracting and kind of gross. The characters are immature and act like hs students. The author just keeps telling us they love each other but there is little showing us. There is no spice, which is fine, and probably would be very jarring in this story. Ellie and Miles are both very likeable and the writing flows well.

This was a cute book. I was a little surprised by some of the descriptive work used in this book in the beginning. I have read other books from this author, which I enjoyed also. I just would have chosen differently. Apart from that the book was great!

I loved it. The story was so good. I listened to it all in one day! The only issue I had was with the sound of the narrator. She did a great job, but sometimes I felt like I could hear her spit or her swallowing. It was a little distracting. I didn't notice it as much when I didn't have the ear buds in, but I but there were some cringe worthy moments when I had that right in my ear. It isn't the narrator's fault. I just think the sound guys could have done something different when making the recoding. But the book is great!
