Cade refuses to start pulling the pranks again until Kelsey makes the first move and when she does, it's an all-out war that had me laughing, cringing, and swooning. There's an undercurrent of attraction that slowly smolders and I couldn't get enough of it. Steel creates a sweet and hilarious story that encapsulates everything I could every want in a romcom. The characters and antics are spot on for a witty banter and many laughs, but there are even a few tender moments and deep introspection.

Didn't like the characters in the beginning, they keep pranking to the point of not endearing or funny. It was hard to get through, but once July 4th hit, things were better.

This was my first book by Cindy Steel. I had zero idea what it was about other than it was a closed door RomCom. I've seen high praise for her books and when I saw it was available as an audiobook, I decided to give it a shot.

I enjoyed the story and the writing. I did wish that we had dual POVs. I would have loved hearing from Cade and knowing what he was thinking. There were a couple of scenes / issues that were a bit of bit harder for me personally to read about. I have dealt with weight issues and love animals.

Other than those minor things, I enjoyed this book and am ready to start the sequel tomorrow! I think I see that may be dual POV, so I'm excited. Again, I have no idea what it is about, injust notice 2 narrators listed.
