Such a fun story! I absolutely loved every word of this story. I highly recommend this romantic comedy for anyone looking for a light read with excellent character development that adds just enough depth to make it a great read.

Enemies to lovers has always been my favorite trope, but some authors go too far and make the characters so unlikable that I want to put down the book because I just didn't care what happened to the characters. Not a problem here.

Cindy Steel knew exactly how to walk the line of "enemies" without making either character unlikable and without making the reader wonder what one character liked about the other. (Although, I would say this story is a blend of three tropes: enemies to lovers and friends to more and my sibling's off-limits best friend.) There was exactly the right amount of banter and kindness, flirtation and angst. At no point did I feel like shaking the characters and telling them to just have a conversation because, unlike in some other books, their behavior was so relatable and understandable. And they never crossed those unspoken lines.

This story had all the feels, made me laugh out loud, and made it next to impossible to stop reading in order to do adulty things.

My only negative comment is that the male narrator's portion of the audio needs better mastering to control the volume so that it is more consistent with the rest of the book. It wasn't terrible, but there were a handful of times that the volume either dropped significantly or rose enough to pull me out of the story. Otherwise, the audio was well done.

This was a fun, closed door RomCom. I felt some of the "pranks" were reused from the previous book in the series, but other than that, I enjoyed it a lot. I was glad to get the dual point of view in the one.

I listened to the audio book and thought the narrators did a nice job with the characters.
