About this audiobook

Jocelyn Reid thought that the stars had finally aligned for her. After waiting for so long, she was finally going to bid on her dream home and regain a small piece of her family's history. She was ready for this life-changing decision until she was outbid by the handsome Simon St. Clair.

Simon is a popular home renovator with his own TV show. Although he is loved by his audience, he feels as if something is missing in his life and he thinks the answer could be found in the house that Jocelyn wants.

Jocelyn isn't ready to give up the house and neither is Simon, so they came up with a plan to work together all while trying to fight their ever-growing attraction to one another.

It's okay, I guess, nothing spectacular. I was quite bored sometimes, and other times I didn't care at all.

The reader was really hard to listen to. In 1.5 speed she had a weird want-to-be sultry voice throughout the whole book.

Cute plot, but the story was a little disjointed...I wondered if it was abridged since things seemed to move fast in some areas or i missed something. I backed up several times to see if i had missed something. Overall,I liked the storyline. The narrator was okay but sometimes I had a hard time discerning the masculine and the feminine characters.

This is a cute, cozy mystery. I love that they get married.

Wendy Dalrymple has so many books on Scribd, so I finally thought I should give one a shot. I should have read the reviews on here first, because they are accurate.

But let me backtrack: at first, I was pleasantly surprised. The writing was solid, and the established storyline a unique one. In addition, the characters were just "different" enough to stand out from the sometimes cookie cutter leads that romance novels give us.

Sadly, the book just never lived up to its promise. On the basis of the fact that the writing itself was solid, and the author showed potential, I'll try another one of her books someday.

All in all, I'd say this is an ok one to resort to when Scribd has throttled everything else you really wanted to read.

As the title suggests, this book is mostly about house flipping and renovations, details which take up large swaths of the book at the expense of building the romance or doing more expansion of the two main characters. All in all, if you’re looking for a short and sweet book that feeds a relaxing escapism bent, then pick this one up.

It glossed over the entire storyline. There was an idea here, but it lacked any real detail or depth. Unfortunately it was pretty boring.
