Couldn’t make it through the entire book after the first couple of chapters skipped to the last three to see if it would have been worth reading. Not

This was a dark but good short story. I was pleasantly surprised

Boring. Is this for younger people with small imaginations? There was nothing smart about the dialogue and the reader was corny.

Not sure I could categorize this book as dark humor. While I didn't find it dark or humorous, I did enjoy the story. The ending left it open-ended, so the main character could come back if the author decided to make her a hero to stop more from being flesh eaters after getting their hands on the book.

Not for me. I thought it was more of a mystery but it is horror and not that good.

It was decent, just not my favorite and felt a little lacking in the development department. The narrator was decent

“How can a book hurt me?”
“See these symbols? My grandma always told me never to mess with that stuff.” Hector shook his head and handed the book back to her. “Seriously. You could get hurt.”
    “They’re just symbols.”
Imagine if "devil wears Prada" and "mean girls" had a demonic baby, this book would be exactly that. Fast and fun, horror with a sprinkle of fashion industry and the ghouls that look glamorous but could eat you, literally. I picked this up for #transrightsreadathon as soon as I learned that there's a NB character and I didn't expect them to be this awesome and interesting. In the end you can literally hear the book whispering"hail seitan" or maybe it was Satan, I'm not sure, that might have been just voice in my head. You will need to read and find out yourself, what exactly lurks in the shadows of the blinds in glamorous building full of people and not exactly people. Also, the narrator was great and I loved every second of this book.
