About this audiobook
The monster never stops, and it’ll never stop…coming for her.
At fifteen, Iris Sinclair was always the more outgoing of the twins. That’s how she convinced her more reserved sister to sneak out for a Halloween party.
She can’t ever forget…
She ditched her sister on the side of the road when she refused to stay in the car while the other kids smoked pot. Except it was laced with PCP. Later, high on the drugs, Iris went back, and found her sister… Dead.
They never found the killer. Just a Jack O’Lantern near her sister’s head.
It’s affected her all these years and it was enough to drive her to become a NYPD detective. But when her parents are killed, Iris finds herself returning to the estate she grew up on, and she quickly realizes one thing.
The killer that was never found is ready to finish the job.
The question is...is it her?

Harper Shaw
Harper Shaw is an emerging author of thrillers living in central Florida. Her hobbies include watching crime thrillers on TV. She watched Gone Girl and was hooked on writing thrillers except work and family always got in the way. Then she realized that if she spent an hour writing after dinner every night she’d have a book in no time. Nowadays she waits until her family goes to sleep to begin to write her psychological thrillers with twisty endings. She doesn’t let her kids read what she writes so as not to scar them for life.

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Everything is predictable, I couldn't even finish this. Which is saying something, bc I finish EVERYTHING. Just don't do it to yourself
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5I can’t believe I made myself listen to the entire book ? so so so bad. Don’t do it. Predictable and poorly written.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I'm not a book snob, but this seemed like I was listening to a b-grade movie. It wasn't suspenseful, and it was easy to anticipate what was coming. Also, for a NYPD detective, she was hopeless at being a cop which was so frustrating!
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5the repetitive “you killed her” “she’s was our favorite” and “killer killer pumpkin eater” at least 10 times in a chapter makes me want to punch someone. had to stop listening to prevent getting actual high blood pressure. horrible
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Love this book. Lots of ups and downs to keep you guessing along the way.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I enjoyed this audio book. I did have a feeling about the killer! and it turns out I was right! Now I just wonder if there will be another book part 2?
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Try interesting listen. Keep you guessing. Could have concluded with a more detailed/ interesting ending
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5It is definitely not as bad as some readers have claimed. I consume about 4-6 of these types of audiobooks every week and this would fit squarely in the middle. Was the book perfect? No, it had the amateurish feel of a novice writer who self-published and could have benefited from an editor (not a beta reader) who would encourage succinctness and word economy which would have sped up the pace and resulted in a more satisfying read. Conversely, some things weren't given enough attention and just fell by the wayside (like descriptions for the more recent murders and her parents' memorial service). The main character was imperfect; she was entitled, ill-mannered, irresponsible, whiny, disingenuous, manipulative, and someone who used people and had nothing more than superficial connections with anyone. All of this seems like growth because it sounded like she was even worse when she was in high school. It also strikes me as improbable that her severe PTSD, paranoid schizophrenia, and crippling anxiety would not preclude her from being a police officer, let alone a detective. The narrator was fine, she did not detract from the story and had a pleasant voice.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Best one so far!!! Perfect one to listen for timepass
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Predictable for the most part. Has good potential for an interesting series but meh for me.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Terrible. No one in the history of humans talk like the people in this book. The dialogue is so bad I couldn’t take this serious. No one would let the protagonist be a cop let alone a detective with her mind numbing whining/mental issues, let alone at the age of 28. No redeeming qualities to this “novel”
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5The reading was good, the story not so much, the plot was obvious and the MC obnoxious
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5I can’t even begin to describe how badly written this was. Just wow.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Very predictable ending and the narrator was so robotic. Wasn't a bad story but it didn't blow my mind. Not sure if there is or will be a second book with such an open ending
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Very good. The twists are there. I enjoyed it! I highly recommend
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5This is one of those books you have to finish to see if it redeems itself-spoiler alert-it doesn't. The universe this book is written in would need wormholes to make the timelines work.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This is a great mystery, many deaths, many twists and turns. Action packed thriller. Enjoy!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5spectacular, simply spectacular, I hope they make a movie out of this soon, it got me hooked all the end through.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This book is decent, i dont know if I'd recommend it to friends and family because I thought it was predictable and the ending wasnt what i wanted either.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I hope there is a second book in the works. That ending had me on the edge of my seat but I would like to know how it really ended
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This book could have been better, but the narrator kind of ruined it for me. The child-like slow talking and emphasis on annunciation of odd words made it excruciating to finish it. I found myself looking to see how much more there was.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Lots of twists. Crazy chief. Bold character. Little over the top with certain stuff, like having time to go through phone while Daniel was showering. Who stays that long….
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5What an excellent book! I am so glad the author made time for her writing, as she is clearly proficient at it. I listened to this audiobook non-stop, I was up till 4:30 AM because I simply could not stop listening.
I look forward to reading any other books she has written! - Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5One of the worst written books I’ve ever read. Couldn’t even finish it.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Amateur author with some cliche imagery. Interested enough to finish but quite predictable.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I totally enjoyed this book Kept me interested completely Thanks
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Amazing! Very engaging…. interesting and wonderfully written. The story really grabs your attention.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I loved it and it is a good thriller novel.
