About this audiobook

Seventeen-year-old Seelie Stanton never wanted to kill anyone. She never wanted to be invisible in her own family, she never wanted to crush on her best friend Alyssa, and she definitely never wanted to know how effectively a mallet could destroy a human head.

But the universe doesn't care what she wants and neither does Shane Mayfield. When the former high school basketball star attacks her, she has no choice but to defend herself. She saves her own life, but she can't bring herself to talk about what happened that night. Not all of it. Not even when she's arrested for murder.

Mischa Thrace

Mischa Thrace has worked as a teacher, a horse trainer, a baker, and a librarian and has amassed enough random skills to survive most apocalypses. She lives in western Massachusetts with her husband, a one-eyed dog, and a cranky cat who rarely leaves the basement. She loves tea, geekery, and not getting stung by bees.

Great YA novel. Kept me (an adult) interested throughout the story.

This book was ok. I liked it mostly until the main character started revealing that she had lesbian feelings towards one of her best friends. This is distasteful to me. I do not like to read or hear about that in a book/audiobook. I'm sure that a lot of people disagree with my beliefs, but it is mine. I only gave it 2 stars because of the first part of audiobook.

Mistakenly thought this was a true story, but realised part way in when circumstances became quite unbelievable and unrealistic that it was fiction, then making it hard to listen to.
Unfortunately the narrator was irritating to listen to.
    Unfortunately I would not recommend.

I could not stop with this book. Well written, well read and totally engrossing.

Just okay. Many loopholes, or potential directions that were never explored. Very implausible in so many places. Teenage angst at its best, found myself thinking what a total brat the main character was throughout the whole book with zero redemption. The animosity with the mother should have been delved into a bit and got tired of the crush thing. Too much of Not Enough. Going to school would not have happened, the gps tracker wasn’t explored AT ALL. What was the point of it at all if her not to be apprehended when she went to CT.

    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
My Whole Truth by Mischa Thrace was an emotional read. This book made me so sad and so angry! This book is about how unfair life can be! There were a couple of moments where I needed to gasp out loud "NO!".
On the other side, this book is about resistance, not giving up, and true and amazing friendship and about not giving up!
Seventeen-year-old Seelie is attacked by Shane Mayfield, son of the judge. Shane Mayfield always gets what he wants as there are no consequences, Dad always will be there to clean his mess. But not this time. Seelie kills Shane to save her own life.
If Seelie thought the attack was the worst thing that ever happened to her, she was so wrong! This is just the first step in the nightmare she will find herself in.
I will not say anything more to let you discover all the events step by step in your own way!
All I want to say is - please, read/listen this book!

Wow, another wonderful story about survival, over coming, and bravely. Being accused of murder is one thing but to admit to it and know that it was in self defense is another. This book was another page turner with wonderful details that made it come to life off the page. Look forward to reading more from this author!

Good book, however a different narrator would have been better for this story. The narrator lacked emotion in some areas of the sorry where emotion was needed. Other than that I enjoyed the story, even though I felt like the main character could have given her mom a little bit of slack.

Fabulous story. Leaves you on the edge of your seat.

I know our justice system is flawed and this story proves just how flawed it can be when those in power go after those without it. Most are not as lucky to get a decent lawyer to take a pro bono case.

The narrator did a good job as she was able to keep my attention throughout the story.

Boring and anticlimatic. I kept waiting for something interesting to happen because it had good reviews, it didn't.

Excellent read. The characters were easy to like. The story deals with normal high school issues with friends parents bullying with the added element of murder committed by the 17 year old main character. This leads to charges and a court room battle. This book keeps you turning the page to see what happens next and definitely throws in a last minute shocking surprise.

Wow, so much to say! This was really well written. I've worked with victim's of sexual violence for nearly 15 years and, while fictional, This had so many elements that rang true. I appreciate that the author kept it YA but also didn't gloss over the difficulty of surviving. Would totally recommend and I'm sure that I will!

Refreshing, but also gives a good look into the legal system. A tiny bit cheesy, but I love nachos, so all good in my book!
