Good! A fun/serious coming of age story reminiscent of younger years. The timeline is a little confusing because it jumps back and forth between the ages of the narrator of the story, so if you don’t pay careful attention you may not know where you are! Quite engaging, though.

The narrator sounds very much like Emily Woo Zeller…but it’s not! ?

This is my comfort series! I love all of the characters and the storyline so much. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the show and I think it follows the book nicely while still adding new to it. Lola’s voice is perfect for the audiobook also!

I love the narrator voice, but it was hard to follow, along with the book when it kept going back into time. In the middle of the book, it was kind of boring until the last handful of chapters, then it started to get a little bit more interesting.I’ve been dying to watch the show, but didn’t wanna watch it till I read the books, so I’m listening to the audiobooks to make it go faster. Can’t wait to start the second book.

This book had some redeeming moments where it was cute but overall I feel like it’s so overhyped. The book jumps around a LOT and sometimes it was hard to keep track of what was present or which events happened first. It also felt like more of it was flashbacks than present day which I didn’t love.

I absolutely hated the ending. Essentially the main character gets caught in a love square and has to pick one of 3 guys. I feel like 2 of the 3 guys the author did a good job of showing chemistry and meaningful connections, but the last guy it seems to be kind of a toxic (weirdly possessive) relationship and the guy just seems to be a jerk all the time. I feel like the book would be better if it were longer but hopefully I’ll enjoy it more as I finish the series
