The two of us have read a lot of books since the last time we recorded together, but no reading craze that either of us took part in compares to that of the cartoon-cover romance novels of the summer. So, before we go into detail on our book of the moment, we are going to be looking into Summer 2021’s cartoon-cover craze. Also, you’ve already seen the title of this episode, so you already know that the book of the moment for today’s episode is It Happened One Summer by Tessa Bailey. The author of It Happened One Summer, Tessa Bailey lives on Long Island, New York, with her husband and daughter, writing all day and rewarding herself with a cheese plate and Netflix binge in the evening. Bailey says she aspires to three things: writing hot and unforgettable character-driven romance, being a good mother, and eventually sneaking onto the judging panel of a reality-show baking competition.
