Excellent story. Wonderful reading. Highly recommend, with caveats.

The story is engaging. The characters are beautifully developed with well defined motivation. This is a wonderful saga and the love story is extremely moving.

I have not read many stories that delve into power exchange relationships, and I have not been interested in being involved in one. This book is so good at explaining the dynamic, that it made me understand why the characters are where they are and what they get out of the relationship. It was able to put me in a place where I began to wonder if I would be interested in a power exchange.

I am a polyamorous CIS female and I love being female. I had some issues, at first, understanding Carivel's body dysmorphia, but the character is so well written, that it didn't take long for me to accept it without question.

The warning said that the sex in this was not vanilla, and indeed it is NOT! But, wow! It's well written and well read and very easy to fall into, emotionally and physically.

I look forward to reading more about this fascinating and well written world.
