After the worst year of her life Angelique Barbetta needs a break. So when her law firm sends her to Red River to handle a case for them she jumps at the opportunity. If there's one thing Angelique knows it's that she's damn good at her job. In the past year she's dealt with breast cancer and a cheating fiancee. This case, piece of cake. That is until she meets Blake Holloway. He's one of the townspeople who stands to lose everything if they lose the case. Too bad the attraction between them is so strong. As Blake tries to show Angelique all that is good about Red River and exactly what her client is trying to take, feelings begin to blossom which leaves Angelique with some big decisions to make.

This was a delightful story that is very well written. It took me a while to really warm up to Angelique but I loved Blake right from the start. It did have parts of the story that seemed to drag a little but nothing too bad. Overall a very good read and I would definitely recommend it.
