Dusk looms over a small meadow in middle-of-nowhere Cheshire. It’s a still summer evening, silent except for the occasional car trundling up the road that borders the farm. These fields haven’t seen livestock for years, and docks and buttercup stems are high. I’m sure there are rabbits in here somewhere.
I linger close to a tall hedge, perfectly still,
