From #1 New York Times bestselling author Abbi Glines comes the story of Grant, the sexy playboy who first captured readers’ hearts in Fallen Too Far.

When Harlow Manning’s rocker father goes on tour, he sends her to Rosemary Beach, Florida, to live with her half-sister, Nan. The problem: Nan despises her. Harlow has to keep her head down if she wants to get through the next nine months, which seems easy enough. Until gorgeous Grant Carter walks out of Nan’s room in nothing but his boxer briefs.

Grant made a huge mistake getting involved with a girl with venom in her veins. He’d known about Nan’s reputation, but still he couldn’t resist her. Nothing makes him regret the fling more than meeting Harlow, who sends his pulse racing. Yet Harlow wants nothing to do with a guy who could fall for her wicked half-sister—even if there are no strings between Grant and Nan. Grant is desperate to redeem himself in Harlow’s eyes, but did he ruin his chances before he even met her?

    Review
Abbi Glines has once again given me characters I love.

I'm so happy to have a book about Grant.  I like seeing the darker side of him.  The part that hardly anyone sees.  He is so very sweet in most of our encounters with him so far, and he's completely torn apart.  I adore Harlow.  I swear it's impossible for her to be mean.  Even when she does mouth off she is a sweetheart.  I love that she tries to constantly see the good in things.  I think that's what makes her a strong character.  And ugh NAN!  I didn't like her from the very beginning of this series, and I still don't like her.  I understand her a little bit better, but she's still a bitch.

I hate that Harlow has to live with Nan.  I don't see how she managed it without strangling her.  Harlow is a much stronger person than me.  There is so much drama in this book and most of it is caused by Nan.  Surprise, surprise.  She just doesn't know when to quit.  There are a few times I want to kick Grant in the shins.  He makes some pretty dumb mistakes especially knowing how Harlow feels about his past with Nan.  I also wish Harlow would grow a backbone at times, but she's put into situations she's not used to being in.

Overall, I love these characters, except Nan.  I just love to hate her.  I must know what happens next.

This was really great. I loved Harlow and how she was this great person and still be strong to get what she wanted. Grant was swoony and I liked the fact that he war ready to admit to what he had done wrong and was willing to make things right with Harlow. There were some things that annoyed me in the book and one of them was Nan; I'm so over her and all her drama and always wanting to be on the spotlight. Can't wait to get my hands on the next installment.

After having loved the other Rosemary Beach books (Rush and Blaire's story, Woods' and Della's), I felt like this one never really pulled me in. I didn't feel emotionally connected to the characters. But, having said that, I'm sure I will still continue reading the series.

I have mixed feelings about this book.

I am disappointed because I loved the little glimpse of Grant and Harlow in Forever Too Far. And everything here is just... Meh.

Let's start with the positive thing.

    The thing I loved:

-Kiro. What the hell? He was so different when I've read about him in the Fallen Too Far series. He was absolutely still in love with Emily. HE EVEN FREAKING BRUSH HARLOW'S MOM'S HAIR! I mean, who does that nowadays? That nearly brought tears to my eyes. His devotion was simply amazing. I never thought I would see him more than just a douche kind of dad.

The things I didn't liked. (be prepared, this will be a long list)

    - I hate that NAN is just always this pathetic, jealous girl who wants to be the center of attraction. Just what the hell? And here I thought I couldn't hate her more than I did on the Too Far series. Boy, I am so wrong. The story practically revolves around her. Again. Seriously, if you want people to love you, make it easy for them. I understand that she wants to feel loved. Yeah. Yeah. She practically has no one. But if I were to be in Rush and Grant's place, I would probably get tired of all her stupid dramas. SHE SHOULD GET A LIFE!!

    - Grant. I hated how weak of a hero he was. He was just not doing anything good to me. HE FREAKING SLEPT WITH STRANGERS, YEAH PLURAL, BECAUSE HARLOW WENT OUT WITH ANOTHER GUY. I mean that's freaking insane considering that Harlow is "special" to him. He practically always think of Harlow as "the One" but he doesn't want to get too involved. Ugh. Just.. No.

    - I hate the ending. I don't know, maybe I just don't understand that just because Harlow is freaking sick, Grant was so hurt and he decides to leave her. "Love just didn't go away because of lies." Please. DON'T MAKE LIFE SO COMPLICATED. If you love someone so much, you would see what they had to do. What they needed to do. I mean, come on! Harlow wants a life that was not being pitied by people.

Frankly, I almost didn't finish this but I'm a curious reader so I want to see what will happen in the end. While reading this, I actually want to bang my head on the wall. Well, the ending. I expected it to be that way somehow seeing there's a sequel but now, I am in no hurry to read it.

Well, hell. I didn't know that we were going to have a cliffhanger! Damn.

Regardless. I still loved this book. The gang's all here and they are as fun as ever.

I know some people want to see Nan redeemed. Personally, I love seeing how amazingly horrible Nan can be. I squeal every time Nan gets her bitch on. I am sure at some point she will see the error of her ways and be redeemed, most likely by a man she falls head over heels for and won't put up with her crap. That will be a fun one to watch!

Wait, this book isn't about Nan (or not ALL about Nan). It's about Grant and Harlow.

I freaking love Grant. LOVE. He understands himself and is not afraid to come to terms with the struggles he goes through. He is also HOT. Who wouldn't want to join the mile high club with him? Sign me up!

Harlow is such a good soul, but she has some bite too! It comes out rarely...but when it does I am all giddy. She is so good for Grant, and he is good for her.

There are a few twists and turns in this book, a relationship is changed forever and the reality that has been sold becomes a lie.

The end gutted me. Just gutted me. I wanted so much for it to all be fixed and given to me with a bow. I will wait for it, but I am not happy about it. /stomping on the floor.

So I have totally been on an Abbi Glines kick and I got to start this book right after finishing Rush Too Far, and after just that one I wanted to re-read the entire series. But as the cookie crumbles sometimes you just have to move on and read the next new one. One day I will get to read them all at one time! But take a chance was a great journey into Grants life, and to see Harlow come out of her shell, was kinda amazing! I have to say that this book had its fair share of Rosemary drama, but it wasn’t so so bad. I have to say I see things coming in the future that even though I’m not totally sure about I have a feeling. I will tell you that Bethy totally broke my heart every time she was mentioned in this book, so I’m really excited to read that book! What the future holds for Grant & Harlow I think will be amazing but they both seem to have a little growing to do. Harlow learning how to live and deal with the real world. And for Grant to learn that he has to grow-up a bit! Sometimes putting your heart on the line is amazing but other times its shattered into smithereens! Only time will tell with those two. Now on to my little prediction…. I am one of the original #NanHaters, and I will always go down defending my reasons to why I think she is unredeemable character but something deep down in the pit of my stomach says its coming. She is being pushed to her limits and put in her place and tested so many different ways. That’s just what I see coming, so now I guess its just a wait and see game to see if Abbi will attempt to do the impossible and make us all love Nan. ★Jammie

3.5 stars. Abbi Glines continues to suck me in to college age drama like no other. I cannot get enough of this series and I can't wait for the sequel to Grant and Harlow. While I hoped for more out of this installment I am not giving up my love for these books. Read them in order if you are new to the series.

I received this free eARC in exchange for my honest review. Oh Grant. I've always had a soft spot for him since the moment Blaire pulled her gun out on him. So glad I finally got to read his story, thought it was a very bittersweet story throughout this novel. I think I've connected the most with Harlow throughout this series. She's very quiet, observant, reads books...yeah I'd say I can see how her life is going. Well, minus the rock star dad. I don't have one of those. But Harlow doesn't let that affect her. Especially in comparison to Nan. I'm so glad she is nothing like her half-sister. The only thing I wish was that Harlow was more secure about herself. She is always doubting her ability to keep Grant happy. I guess being wary of everyone around her would make a person do that, but it was very obvious that Grant was head over heels about Harlow. I wish I had the sequel to this book. I love that the characters are getting two books, but that just means I have to wait longer to find out what happens. And the way this book ended? Destroyed me. Completely destroyed. I am sitting on the edge of my seat in anticipation to getting the next novel, but that will be awhile. My advice? Read Abbi Glines. You are missing a ton of great stories and you will get so emotional into this author's worlds that you would wish you could be a character. Can't wait to read more!
