About this audiobook

Cage York has to choose between a love of the game and a love of the girl in this sultry Sea Breeze novel from New York Times bestselling author Abbi Glines.

Cage York finally has everything he ever wanted.

And Eva is at the very top of that list—the perfect girl with a temper as hot as her fabulously flawless body. But for Cage, a baseball scholarship has always been a close second. So when Cage finally gets his chance, he and Eva must endure a long distance relationship—and all the dangerous temptations that come with it. Temptations that former bad boy Cage York may not be able to escape.

Then after receiving some illicit photos that show Cage has been behaving badly—very badly—Eva finds solace in the comforting arms of her insanely attractive neighbor Jeremy, who vows that he will take care of Eva in ways Cage never could. It’s an offer that may be too good for Eva to turn down.

Torn between his baseball dream and the girl of this dreams, Cage must prove he’s worthy of Eva’s love, or risk losing her to Jeremy forever.

Another great Seabreeze story. This is a follow up to Cage and Eva story. Cage goes away to finish school and play baseball in Tennessee and Eva stays to take care of her dying father. Being apart is hard and trust is tested. Great story you don't want to miss. I recommend it.

You know what sob-fest is? It's the prologue of this book and some chapters in between.
I almost threw my phone across the room because of that shocking prologue.
    i freakin loved this book.

Review courtesy of Dark Faerie TalesQuick & Dirty: Fun and steamy new adult read that was very entertaining. It was a little over dramatic at times but overall it was a good read.Opening Sentence: I stood in front of the church, looking out at the solemn faces of family and friends. The Review:Cage York has been waiting for his big break his whole life and he finally got it. He has been offered a full ride scholarship to play baseball at a pretty decent college. This is his big chance to prove that he is someone that he is good enough for the woman he loves. Now he just has to make sure that she will go with him when he leaves.Eva never thought she would find love again after her fiancée was killed in an accident, but then she met Cage. She is madly in love with him and would follow him anywhere, so when he asks her to leave with him she instantly says yes. Right before they leave she finds out that her father has terminal cancer. She doesn’t want Cage to give up his dream so she makes him leave and promises to come once her father passes away. With distance and fate working against them will their love be able to survive, or is love just not enough? The story was told from both Cage and Eva’s POV, which I totally loved because you got to see inside both of their heads. First, you met Eva, a sweet farm girl that has had to deal with a lot of loss in her life. Her mother died when she was young and her childhood love also passed away. Now she has to deal with losing her father as well. I really felt sorry for Eva and found that she was an easy character to like and very relatable. She is very tenderhearted, but she also has a feisty side that makes her interesting.Cage is very drool worthy. With washboard abs, dark hair, and piercing blue eyes, what’s not to love? He also is confident and knows what he wants. He used to be a big time player, but once he met Eva he had eyes only for her. The way he feels about her never wavers and even though they have some hard times, he never gives up on her. I admired his determination and loved his stubbornness. I thought he was a very swoon worthy male and I loved him.Sometimes It Lasts was different then your typical NA contemporary because this couple was already in love when you meet them. They have been together a while, so the base of the story is them trying to make their relationship last. I liked that it was something unique from your average romance, but at the same time, I felt a little disconnect from the couple. I didn’t get to witness them falling in love and all the giddiness that comes with that. That’s not to say I didn’t feel that their love was realistic and something to root for, I just wish I could have had that deep connection with them before I was thrown into all their drama. In a way these two points counteract each other, so in the end it was a non-issue with my overall rating of the book. The story was a little over dramatic at times, but in a story like this you have to have drama to make it interesting. I love Glines’ writing style, she has a way of making books feel effortless and enjoyable. There isn’t anything life changing in this story but it was entertaining and a good distraction from life. Glines’ does sexy times very well and this book is full of steam. This was a fun read and I would highly recommend it to anyone that is looking for a quick escape.Notable Scene:When she started sliding her body down mine until she was squatting with her mouth level with my zipper, I decided we wouldn’t make it until the next song. Reaching down, I jerked her up, and she threw her head back and cackled with laughter. My naughty little girl wanted to play. Fine. We’d play.I slipped a leg between hers, pressing between those tiny bottoms she was wearing, then grabbed her tight little ass, pulling it up against me before rocking my hips to the music. The fire in her eyes was instant. Eva placed her hands flat against my chest and closed her eyes. When her mouth went lax and it slowly opened, I knew I’d had enough. I grabbed her hand and pulled her off the dance floor and straight for the door. When we stepped into the warm evening breeze, my pulse kicked up higher. I was taking her in the mustang. I wouldn’t be able to wait.“Where are we going?” Eva asked breathlessly.“My car,” I replied, pulling her back to the dark parking lot.FTC Advisory: Simon Pulse/Simon & Schuster provided me with a copy of Sometimes It Lasts. I absolutely could not wait to get my hands on this book. Cage and Eva are my favorite Sea Breeze couple and I was ecstatic and all fangirling when I found out we were going to get another book with Cage in it. OMG - did Abbi Glines ever deliver big time with Sometimes it Lasts. I don't know where to begin. I knew going into this book it wasn't going to be an easy read from the synopsis, but I did not know it was going to RIP my poor little emotional heart out.......get ready for some tissues girls, because you are going to need them, and whatever else brings you comfort....then hold on and get ready for the ride. I kid you not, I swooned - I mean who wouldn't over Cage - I smiled as we got to see all the rest of the Sea Breeze gang that we have come to know and love, I got all hot and bothered when Cage talked dirty to Eva and did other things, then I cried and was a complete wreck for a while, both for Cage and for Eva. Next, I put on my cheerleader cap and was mentally and emotionally shaking my pompoms for Team Cage, then got all hot and bothered with Cage's dirty talk and one exceptionally hot scene, and then finally sighed, relaxed, and and smiled, completely satiated about 3:00 a.m. when I finished the book - whew (I am pausing to breathe now). Seriously, Cage York stole my heart in While it Lasts, and he sealed it and took away the key, completely branding it as his in Sometimes it Lasts. Warning - Do not do try at home: I must make a little confession to you all. In the middle of my distress, when I couldn't bear it anymore, fearing I might not live until I got to the ending and in a moment of complete weakness, I had to go to the back of the book to see what happens. I am such a wuss. Now for me, that is okay, because I still enjoyed the book just as much. In fact, I'll probably end up reading it again - maybe 2 or 3 times, and will still love it as much as I did the first time. I mean, I've read the Vincent Boys and Vincent Brothers like four times already. So I want to bring you words of comfort and encouragement, as I put my cheerleader cap on for all of you who haven't read it yet....I am shaking my pompoms now and cheering......You will survive......you can do it.......just hold on.......the ending is worth the wait, it's just getting through the in between that is the difficult part, but it hurts so good. I love this book, and the entire Sea Breeze series. I can't wait for Misbehaving (Sea Breeze #6), which is Jason Stone's story, to come out in December. I really hope Dewayne gets a story to, and I would love Preston and Amanda to get a second book. Okay, time to stop now. If you haven't read While it Lasts and Sometimes it Lasts, trust me, you'll want to.
