About this audiobook

Sawyer and Lana collide in this sequel to The Vincent Boys that shows hot romance is the best cure for heartbreak.

Getting a boy to fall head over heels in love with you isn’t easy. Especially when he’s been in love with your cousin for as long as you can remember.

Lana has lived her life in her cousin’s shadow. Ashton always makes perfect grades, has tons of friends, and looks model-perfect. And she’s always had Sawyer Vincent—the only boy Lana’s ever wanted—wrapped around her finger. But now things are different. Lana has a chance to make Sawyer see her, and she’s taking it. If only he’d get over Ashton—because Lana is sick of second-best.

Sawyer’s heart is broken. He’s lost his best girl to his best friend. And then Lana comes to town. Ashton’s cousin has always been sweet and soft-spoken, but now she’s drop-dead gorgeous as well. Sawyer doesn’t know if Lana can heal his broken heart, but spending time with her might at least make Ashton jealous.

What starts as a carefree fling becomes a lusty game of seduction. Sawyer and Lana may have different motives, but their scintillating hookups are the same kind of steamy…

First of all let me say that I am a total Abbi Glines fan. I was ecstatic when I found out she was writing The Vincent Brothers, because I totally and completely fell in love with Beau Vincent in The Vincent Boys. To me, Beau Vincent is the epitome of hotness. When I found out that The Vincent Brothers was about Sawyer Vincent, I wondered if it could possibly be as good as the first book, but true to form, Abbi Glines NEVER disappoints. The Vincent Brothers was amazing. The story picks up six months after Sawyer and Ashton have broken up and he gave his blessing to her to be with Beau, only Sawyer is finding this to be a lot harder than he anticipated. Despite the time frame, he is as angry as ever, every time he sees them together. Lana McDaniel, Ashton's cousin, has always had a thing for Sawyer. As a matter of fact, Sawyer was the main reason she was coming to spend the summer in Alabama with Ashton, only the Lana from six months ago isn't the same Lana that she used to be, having undergone a transformation, now no longer prim, proper and reserved, but smoking hot, which did not go unnoticed by Sawyer, or the other guys in the story. This is Sawyer and Lana's story, and let me tell you, the Sawyer Vincent that we got to know in The Vincent Boys is not the same Sawyer Vincent that we get to know in The Vincent Brothers. Granted Beau will always be my first choice (I always go for the hot bad boys), but Sawyer is coming in a close second. Those Vincent Boys are pretty irresistible. I really loved getting to know Lana. I really liked her a lot. Even though she puts up with a lot, she is quick to forgive, but also stands her ground. The chemistry between Lana and Sawyer is sizzling. Like I said, it is not the same Sawyer we got to know in book one. There are some very hot scenes that left me fanning my face. Sawyer is a jerk a few times, but he is very repentant afterwards, and it was touching to see him so sincere and emotional with his apology. It made me want to go jump in his arms to. It was also good to see what was going on with Beau and Ashton now, and some of the other characters, as well as getting to know some new ones. I thoroughly enjoyed The Vincent Brothers and I am so happy to have had the opportunity to read and review it early. Abbi Glines is an artist. The pictures she paints with her words are nothing short of brilliant, enabling the reader to feel like you are right there in the middle of it all, watching and experiencing everything. One thing I especially enjoyed was the ending of this book. It left me feeling completely satisfied and happy with where the series went. If you love contemporary romance that sizzles, with two of the hottest guys around, then I encourage you to read The Vincent Boys and The Vincent Brothers. Here are a few teasers:“All you have to do is hold on tight. Wrap your legs and arms around me and I got the rest of this.” - Sawyer Vincent from The Vincent Brothers coming 6/5/12A warm hand closed around my hand and I squeaked in suprise. Sawyer chuckled and slipped his fingers between mine, "Come on sweet little Lana. You can come entertain me since you've been stranded. Besides, I've been looking at those sexy legs of yours all night. You make them shorts look real good." I gaped at him as he pulled me over to an empty couch. Had Sawyer just said my legs were sexy? I didn't have time to think about his statement before he was pulling me down to sit in his lap. "With you, things are different. I'm not sure what it is, but when I'm with you I feel something I've never felt before. I do want you. Bad. It surprises me and scares the shit out of me............."

Let me start by saying PERFECT summer read! Sawyer, Ashton, and Beau have grown up as best friends, until Sawyer makes Ashton his at a young age and leaves his cousin Beau out. When Sawyer leaves for the summer, Ashton and Beau find themselves contentiously drawn to one another no matter how hard they fight to do the right thing. Ashton and Beau realize that they've always loved one another.. it was always suppose to be them but they were too young and stupid to see it so they just denied it and buried it deep within themselves. Since Sawyer stole Ashton away from Beau, he's become the towns bad boy, he's a player and always up to no good while Sawyer is the perfect one. The one everyone wishes there kid was like. Ashton feels trapped in her relationship with Sawyer and feels like she's always trying to be perfect.. always trying to make him happy, always trying to be the person he deserved.. but that only makes her be someone she's not.. someone she doesn't even really wanna be anymore. I hated knowing they were hurting Sawyer this way, but it was obvious they belonged with one another and deep down I think Sawyer always knew that. Ashton quickly realized she could be herself.. someone she actually liked when she was with Beau, he accepted her for her she was.. he actually loved her for it. And Beau quickly realized no matter the love he had for Sawyer and how badly he didn't want to betray him.. he couldn't live another day without Ashton, she was everything to him."Making the choice between what is expected and what the heart needs to survive." -Ashton"Good because I want you too. Now. Forever. Just you." -Beau"The heart wants who the heart wants. We can't help that." -Leann"The real Ashton Grey is perfect and I'm crazy in love with her." -Beau"She'd barely covered up her long tanned legs with a pair of shorts that made me want to go to church this Sunday just to thank God for creating her." -Beau“I was already headed for Hell, I might as well enjoy the ride.” -Beau"You're gonna have to stop doing that Ash," Beau whispered huskily and closed the space between us. His body was suddenly pressed against mine. I managed to shake my fascination with his lips and gaze up into his eyes. He was staring down at me with a hungry gleam I wasn't accustomed to seeing. But I liked it. I liked it a lot."Ash, I'm trying real hard to be good. Good isn't my thing but Sawyers important to me. Please remember I've got limits and you studying my mouth like you want a taste is pushing me dangerously close to the edge of those limits.” -Beau“Hold onto me baby. I'm going to take care of you." The raspy need in his voice only made me more desperate.” -Beau"Right now. Right here. I'm yours. Not Sawyers. He isn't who I want. Right now, all I want is you." -Beau“Sitting here and waiting on her to calm down enough to tell me who I needed to go beat the shit out of for making her cry wasn’t easy.” -Beau

The second non-SpecFic book I want to highlight is The Vincent Brothers, the sequel to The Vincent Boys, which I reviewed two weeks ago. This book focusses on Sawyer, and we get to see how hurt and miserable he is after the events of The Vincent Boys, and how Lana tries to help him get over Ashton.Whereas Boys was all about Ashton cheating on her perfect boyfriend Sawyer, Brothers is about Sawyer coming to terms with all the changes in his life. His family has been shattered by the revelations about his father, his school life isn’t so great anymore and his friends want him to get over Ashton quicker than he can. Into the midst of all this comes Lana, Ashton’s cousin who’s always had a crush on Sawyer but feels that Ash is so perfect, there’ll be no competing with her.I liked the dynamic between Lana and Sawyer a lot better than that of Beau and Ashton, although to be perfectly honest I think that’s just because Lana and Sawyer aren’t betraying someone in the process of getting closer. Lana is quite strong and stands up for herself when she feels wronged, which was great to see, and Sawyer begins as a quite a flawed character (he wants to use Lana to make Ashton jealous), but he soon gets over that and acts like the sweet boy we met in the previous book.We get to see a bit of Ashton and Beau though, and how their relationship is going. Although they seem happy, now that I can see their relationship from the outside it makes me feel uncomfortable. Beau is more of a possessive attack dog in this book than a sweet boyfriend. He’s always described as growling and acting like an animal, demanding why people are on Ashton’s driveway, why they are staring at her, etc. Not only is it tiring, it takes away from all the romance in their relationship, and I’m left with the impression that surely Ashton can’t be too happy with him. But of course, she is perfectly happy.Abbi Glines has served up another entertaining read in The Vincent Brothers, and although this book concludes the series, I am interested in reading more of her works in the future, especially the paranormal-romance, the Existence trilogy.

I loved this one just as much as The Vincent Boys. The Vincent Boys was an introduction into the life of Sawyer and Beau Vincent with Beau being in the spotlight more so than Sawyer. But The Vincent Brothers is a spotlight more so on Sawyer. Abbi Glines is a magician, just as I said in my review for book 1. This is the original version and I just loved the fast pace storyline with twists and turns along the way.Sawyer Vincent is still coming to terms with losing the love of his life to his brother; even though he knows that Beau would never ever betray him if it wasn’t real love. But that doesn’t make the hurt any less painful, especially having to witness the love every day. Sawyer isn’t himself and has decided the only way to take away the pain for a little while is to resort to drinking alcohol. It appears to everybody that Sawyer has turned into the bad boy Beau since the break-up.Ash is still in la-la land and loving every minute she spends with Beau. This summer is going to be the best before everybody goes off to college. Ash’s cousin Lana is coming to stay for the summer too, she is trying to escape her now divorced Mother’s bitter tirades and to enjoy life. She has changed her image, her attitude and decided that this is her last chance to be noticed by boys; with one boy in particular in mind.Lana goes to the Field party with Ash and is excited to see Sawyer again. Sawyer thinks Lana could be a great distraction from the hurt that Ash has caused and decides to start spending time with Lana. Every time he is with Lana, Ash doesn’t even enter his mind. Lana doesn’t know if Sawyer is spending time with her just to make Ash jealous or because he generally is attracted to her. There is a tug of war of emotions in this book and nothing is set in stone. There is questionable behaviour from Beau which causes trouble for Sawyer and Ash and Lana is turned inside out. Will Lana ever get to be happy? Can somebody actually put her first? Will Sawyer be able to love somebody that isn’t Ash? Will Ash ever not be the centre of the Vincent Boys? This is awesome! I wish there were more books coming to this story; I just loved the Vincent boys. In the first book, I was all Beau, but now having actually been inside Sawyers head, it is hard to be in love with just one of the Vincent Boys, I am torn between the two. The characters evolve with great intensity and the emotions that come out of the book will have you laughing, crying and OMGing along with Lana. After I finished reading this one, I had to purchase more books by Abbi Glines, I am now one of her biggest fans.

Loved this sequel to The Vincent Boys. Sawyer and Lana's story I think is even sweeter than Ashton and Beau's. I enjoyed the attraction and all the obstacles the couple had to overcome. Sawyer's hurt from his previous relationship and Lana's vulnerability due to her family makes them a good match. Sawyer needed someone to put first that wanted him just as much he wanted them. The realizations and growth Sawyer has over the course of the book is satisfying. I like that Lana has known she wanted Sawyer for years but also took the stance to never be second best. I finished this book in just a few hours. It is a smooth read that had me crying in all the right places. Glines knows how to pull at the romantic heart strings. This is definitely a read for the contemporary romance reader.

This sequel to the Vincent Boys picks up where the story leaves off, following the heartbreak and eventual romance of Sawyer Vincent and the cousin of the girl who broke his heart, Lana. Quite a bit racier than the first book, it is a smouldering summer read for mature teens.

What a great follow-up to The Vincent Boys. I will admit that I'm considering skipping every other book I've planned to read just to read through all of Abbi Glines'.

This one picks up right where the last one left off. Sawyer is broken and bitter over losing Ashton and can barely stand watching her with Beau. Sawyer would absolutely love to win Ashton back some how. On the other end of the spectrum we have Lana, Ashton's cousin, who has been in love with Sawyer for as long as she can remember. She'd do anything to make Sawyer fall for her and she plans to do just that by staying in Grove for the entire summer.

Honestly, I enjoyed Ashton's and Beau's story a bit more. I connected with them and felt the genuineness of the relationship more. They grew up together and brought out each others true personalities. With Sawyer and Lana it felt so rushed. Sawyer never gave Lana a second thought growing up but now that she changed her clothes and hair he's ready to jump all over her as first sight. Ashton and Beau were so romantic and cute. Sawyer and Lana were jut very lusty.

This story is jam-packed with conflicts making it a very entertaining and quick read. While I didn't get a "true love" vibe, it was still a fun journey to watch and the ending actually really surprised me. I didn't think something quite like that would happen. The Vincent Brothers is a book you can sit down and read in just a few hours but still feel satisfied at the end. Abbi Glines definitely has a way of writing a great story.

After reading the first book, The Vincent Boys, I wasn't sure how to approach this one. I guess that is why it took me such a long time to read it.You see, I fell in love with all the characters. Swayer I just felt so bad for. He got his heart broken and I just couldn't see how he can get over another girl and fall for another one. Reading the plot of the book, I fell right back in. Lana is completely different from Ashton. I like that Lana is trust-able and very vulnerable. It makes her time with Sawyer different. The love interest is what hurts me and make me want more the most. First off, I HATE that Ashton got in the way. Yes, I said it. I think this character shouldn't have been involved at all. I think that is what made Sawyer's transition so hard. The only part that really redeemed the book for me is when Lana goes away. Yes, I'm a sadist and watching Sawyer suffer I felt it was fitting. Lana has been through so much. I like who she grew up in the book putting her foot down. She made tough descions but in the end, it made her stronger.Overall, yes I like it. The Vincent Brothers had an amazing ending that left me smiling BIG! The emotional roller coaster however left my heart going CRAZY! Still, I adore Abbi Glines and loved her book.
