The storyline dragged on until the very end. It did set up the third book nicely.

Great narrator for the audiobook. Various accents and tones. A pleasure to listen.

If you've ever wanted to hear Stiflers mom read a book. Jennifer Coolidge is top-notch, so I'm not hating.

Book two of the Fate and Flame series picks up where the first left off. Romeria, Zander, and the rest of their group flee from those who have turned on him, heading north, looking for safety and following prophecy. New friends are made, as are enemies, as Romeria learns to control her abilities, and ways to stop the mortal rebellion and to end the blood curse.

As with the first book, the narrator's sing-song voice was a little irritating, but she didn't do it with the character's dialogue, and she had a pretty good range of variations of their voices.

The action of this book was pretty good, though it did get a little repetitive as they 'walked' and 'visited' villages. But the monster was good, though I think it could've used a little bit more description, but its mayhem was pretty gruesome. That and the two 'porn' scenes, make this book NOT suitable for readers under eighteen.

I really hate porn. For me, that much description, (pages of detail) ruins the story. Takes the 'intimacy' out of the characters' relationship, along with the 'love' they feel for each other. Yes, I'm old school. Bye-bye star. Cliff-hangers do the same to me, and now there's a little niggling irritation in my brain because of where/how it left off, and now I wonder if the series is going to start dragging along to fill up more books.

Take out the 'porn', and this is a really good story (series). The characters are well developed, though I was getting two mixed up, I think it's because their names sound similar, but once it clicked who they were talking about, it made sense. The world this story is taking place in, is an interesting one, though more history is needed, (but I think the next book is going to have a lot of that.)

I have a few theories of what's going to happen...

Even better than the first one. I love the world the author has created and the complexity of the characters and their moral dilemmas. It has a great plot and the spicy scenes are few but very well written ?
