About this audiobook

Rule No. 1: Don't piss off the Sick Boys

They're cruel. Reckless. Impossibly fucked up.

The Sick Boys feed on the order they create. They rule Eastpoint University just as their families have for decades. But their power doesn't stop there. The three of them are heirs to some of the largest fortunes in the world, and behind that kind of wealth lies an underworld of corruption.

On the surface, they're perfect princes and he is their King. But underneath it all, they're filled with blood, lies, and secrets. With all of their connections, they have the power to crush anyone who gets in their way. But just because they're as warped as I am doesn't mean I'm going to give them a free pass.

Because I, Avalon Manning, bow to no one, and I live to break the fucking rules.

Contains mature themes.

    Okay okay ???

First, the idea excited me so I was down to give a shot. I enjoy a strong female lead.
Second, Avalon came off strong - real strong. Some of her choices seemed super rash and honestly the lack of repercussions for her down right stupid actions was unrealistic. Plus, I share Avalons opinion of the name “sick boys”. I was almost turned off.
Last, I’m so glad I stuck in there. Hot damn. Once I put aside reality - the slow burn was good. I really liked that Avalon didn’t end up just falling at Deans feet. The push and pull between the two gave a lot to the plot.

Definitely full of triggers though. Be prepared.

Also, holy hot, Brax. I don’t think I’ve ever been that into a supporting character. Don’t get me wrong, Dean was hot. Something about Brax tho ?. So hot. Not sure if he has his own book, but dear Lucy, I’d read it so fast.

Definitely curious to continue the series and see if the second one manages a push and pull throughout the entire plot like this one. Worth the read.

This book was AMAZING! Took me all of a day to get through because I couldn't stop once I started. I loved it. The characters are solid and tough, the storyline pulls you in and keeps you hooked and the writing is paced and written beautifully. BUT, this is definitely a dark book from the very beginning. Look up the TW's and heed them.

It was too much and too long. I finished it hoping it got better. But it didn't.

The story would have been better without Avalon getting raped. How much is 1 teenager supposed to handle? Ruined the story for me as well as any sequels to this story.

This was pretty awful. If you’re going to write a new adult RH and give some sort of tragic backstory for the FMC that character also generally has a level of maturity about them. This FMC does not. She acts like an early teen which makes the fact that this is a RH gross.
