I am so happy I picked up this series when I saw it on Scribd! I am really loving the characters and story. In this one we get more information regarding Elena and her family and why her mom treated her the way she did. I mean, she still was a horrible mom but there is a lot of backstory that makes you sympathize for her. I am sorry for Elena’s news about her dad. I mean its eluded to in book 1 he is gone but you don’t know what really happens. I was confused a bit with the guys’ dad and her mom, like you couldn’t tell if anything was real or not and sometimes it just felt awkward.

I wanted to shake Sully so much in this one!! But I am already listening to the 3rd and final book and happy with how things work out haha. I think Wolf is still my favorite and Rush definitely got some brownie points in this one. I loved how “not a stalker” he was and how he knows everything about Elena’s favorites and stuff. Also loved his possessiveness and how he is kinda a tech nerd but then super scary and protective of his family. The tension in this one is incredible. When some things do happen you are like FINALLY!!!! I liked that this still have a lot of heat in terms of the sexual tension and frustration from some of the characters haha.

The emotions in this one was tough too because of what happened to Elena, how she has to survive until she is reunited with the guys, and the ramifications for what happened and how it sticks with her for a long time after. The author does a good job with pulling our emotional strings haha. I think the plot made me confused a bit, the pace and path on this one didnt feel as strong, but I definitely still enjoyed it.

Narration was great, same comments as the previous book. I think this one had more high-emotional moments and both narrators did a great job with their performances, their intonations, and choices with their tones, pauses, etc. Probably gonna finish book 3 today because I needed to know how this story ended ❤️❤️❤️
