The book itself was one of my favorite sapphic romances that I’ve read this year. Just based on the story alone, it gets an easy 5 stars. While a long listen, I appreciated how in-depth the characterization was. Not only this, it was written extremely well and flowed smoothly. However, the only fault to this audiobook is the audio itself. I struggled to listen to the narration, as it was not at all how I would picture them to sound. Certain parts would feel over dramatized and forced, and one of the characters from New York (being from there myself) sounded horrible. While the narration was difficult to get through, I stuck it out because of how good the book itself was. Will probably buy the physical copy and try reading it again.

I’m really bummed I had to stop listening to this book but the narrator was terrible. The voice acting felt forced and over the top in the way that they made everyone sound cartoonish and like they all were in middle school. I managed five chapters then couldn’t stand the thought of listening to this for hours on hours more. Can someone else please read this to me?

I just now finished listening to the audiobook, and have ordered the book itself. This is one of the best books I’ve ever read, of any genre. The characters are so well developed . I felt like I truly knew them, felt their joy, anxiety, pain and fear. It was written so that I felt invested in the story, and in the characters. This is Not a typical Lesbian romcom. The narrator gave a great performance, truly conveying the deep emotions in this novel. This is beyond a Must Read! Read it! I will be gifting this story to friends.

Ugh, I freaking love this book. I have already read it twice and have finally gotten the chance do listen to the audiobook - and I was not disappointed! Lori Prince does an amazing work bringing Charlotte and Sutton to life. Please don't hold yourself back if you're thinking the over 20 hours of book is too long. It is SO worthy!

I loved this book. First time reading Haley Cass and I'm quite infatuated. Great characters and story. I loved the complexity and vulnerability of the characters and the end only left me wanting more and more of these characters. Rarely do I ever feel the need to re-read a story immediately after finishing, but this book has stolen my heart. And Lori Prince narrating was perfect!! My only hope is Haley Cass delves deeper into these characters in the near future. There is so much more that can be written and I can't wait!!!

Made it (jumping) into chapter 7 before I finally have it up. First there is that narrators nasals squeaky voice on certain characters that just is annoying, then there is that “well-meaning-busybody-friend” that actually just about no one would keep around as a friend(and why there is those in so many lesbian books all together?)
