About this audiobook

Too quiet. A talented hacker who got caught; Brigid Banaghan is now forced to work with a secret Deep Ops unit. But she won't reveal any more to these renegade Feds than she has to. Especially not to Raider Tanaka, her control freak of a bodyguard and handler. It's enough that his body is tensed for action and his heated gaze is always on her . . .

Too sharp. Raider knows there's more to his new assignment than he's been told. Why send a deadly agent of his experience to guard a computer genius-even a gorgeous, unpredictable, undisciplined one? But when Brigid's estranged father is named in an investigation into Boston's organized crime, Raider's mind switches onto high alert, just like his senses . . .

Too close. To clear her father's name, Brigid needs Raider's help. The Unit's idea that she bring a straight-laced Fed in as her "fiance" won't fly, though-not unless Raider can release his inner bad boy and become the rebel Brigid can't resist . . .

Brigid Banaghan got caught hacking, and now she is forced to work with a secret Deep Ops unit. Raider knows there is more to his new assignment than he’s been told. When Brigid’s estranged father is named in an investigation into Boston’s organized crime, Raider’s mind switches to high alert. Brigid needs Raider’s help to clear her father’s name, but unless he can release his inner bad boy, pretending to be engaged won’t fly.

This ‘Deep Ops’ story is one hair-raising exciting event after another, and readers won’t be able to put it down once they get started. The characters are strong and vivid and easily grab the readers’ attention and the chemistry between Raider and Brigid sizzles with extreme heat although they do seem like an unlikely couple that just ensures that this growing relationship never has a dull moment as the emotions flow and passions ignite.

The plot is fast-paced with great timing that keeps the excitement coming and the suspense building throughout keeping readers on edge even as stunning twists ensure that they never know exactly what might happen. The ‘Deep Ops’ team is a great team that is strong with a compelling presence that readers want to be part of their team especially because this team is a bit unorthodox which makes things real and heroic. This story is energetic, spicy, and thrilling with a bit of humor that really makes the story stand out.

Fallen by Rebecca Zanetti Romantic suspense. 2nd book in the Deep Ops series after a novella between the two. Can be read as a standalone. Great action, writing and storytelling. One of my favorite authors. The characters habits and issues make them intriguing and personable. I especially love Roscoe and it was amusing when they used him as a colleague. Edge of your seat reading.Loved it. Excerpt:“You want to fight in bed?” Was that curiosity in her eyes?“Sure. We can roll around, wrestle, argue, and then you’ll give in.” He grinned, enjoying the challenge heating her expression. “We can include a healthy spanking, for good measure, if you’d like.” Her chin lowered. “You want me to spank you?” He laughed instantly and without thought. Even irritated and aroused, she was quick on her feet. He liked that. A lot. Smart girls had always done it for him, and she was freaking brilliant.Excerpt from Fallen by Rebecca Zanetti I received a copy of this from NetGalley. I also purchased a copy to share.

Fallen by Rebecca ZanettiStarts with an excerpt and the authors other series works and table of contents and acknowledgements.Hope by reading this I won't be left in the dark as I've not read the other two Deep Ops books. Can be read as a stand alone also! They were able to get Brigid out of the prison to help them with her expertise on the computer. Others are keeping secrets from her about how they think her father, Irish mob affiliates may also be caught...Lots of tactical moves and I also was able to learn a bit about the others in the group-from previous books in the series that I have not read.Raider is under cover as her fiancee and they are to meet her father...Story line reminds me a lot of the Enemy Within on NBC, it's such a cool show...Brigid knows they can send her back to her solitary cell at any time so she works hard at what they want from her.Love this kind of book because there is so much to it: romance/sex, mystery, high crime, locations, action and adventure, technology, tactics used.Like that you hear from each of them so you can get the two sides of the circumstances.Hilarious moments also and an excerpt Broken is enclosed.Received this review copy from Kensington Books Zebra via Netgalley and this is my honest opinion.#Fallen #NetGalley

I didn't feel a love connection like I normally do. These two acted more like buddies. Then enemies then buddies who suddenly say I love you . I did like seeing all the previous crazy characters tho.

Fallen by Rebecca ZanettiDeep Ops #2Misfits...or are they? The team working together definitely has interesting backstories. This time Brigid the hacker and Raider the agent are working together to take down an Irish mob. There is s peculation that Eddie Coonan, the new top dog of the mob, has taken up human trafficking and Brigid’s skills are needed to find out where they will arrive. Raider is on a mission that leans toward revenge but he, too, is willing to do whatever it takes to save the girls...and spill the blood of those that killed one of his friends. What I liked: * Raider – definitely a cool customer but HOT, strong and deadly, too. Great book boyfriend* Brigid – smart and capable and perfect for Raider’s* Angus & Nari – dancing around one another and either soon to fall in love or perhaps not* Wolfe and Dana – another couple that may or may not end up together* The sweet coffee concoctions Wolfe brings to the team* Kat – Wolfe’s kitten carried in his pocket* Roscoe – the German Shepherd who likes booze, makeup and high heels* The team* The bad guys being taken downWhat I didn’t like: * The bad guys..all of them! This was a great book that kept me interested from beginning to end. So glad Raider and Brigid managed their HEA. Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington-Zebra for the ARC – This is my honest review. 5 Stars
