This is an entertaining, well-written, fast-paced, steamy, romantic suspense novel. It has murder, intrigue, action, a likable female protagonist, a hot, caring hero, a cute toddler, an adorable dog, sizzling chemistry, a heart-warming romance, and a happily-ever-after ending. The closing sentences at the end of the book are beautiful! It is the fifth entry in Ms. Zanetti's outstanding Deep Ops series, and can be enjoyed as a stand-alone, but is even better when read in order.

I have enjoyed each one of Ms. Zanetti's books in the Deep Ops series. Each one of these Alpha males has met their match and found a deep and abiding friendship/family within the Deep Ops team. Ms. Zanetti's well-crafted and fast-paced plot kept me turning the pages.

I confess that I've been intrigued by Jet/Jethro Hanson and his murky past but this story blew me away with his history. Gemma was one of the most courageous heroines that Ms. Zanetti has written in this series. Gemma was intelligent, devious and so devoted to her daughter that I teared up at every scene with Trudy. As usual, Roscoe brought humor to the settings, bless his alcoholic heart. It was so good to see all of the team members together again and find out where each of the couples is now in their lives. Suspense, action, friendship, uniquely flawed characters, romance, one of the cutest little girls that I've ever read, and an alcoholic German Shepherd that will make you laugh. Amazing romantic suspense that kept me up way too late to finish.
