This novel was okay. I think the first half was better than the second half. The ending was lackluster. The “reveal” about 3/4 of the way through did not feel earned to me. It seemed like they were trying to pull one over on the readers. By the time I got to the 2nd reveal it felt a bit ridiculous and I was over it.

The basis of the story was cool. The suspense was good. And then it fizzled out.
