The series continues to get better and better. I love the character building and the relationship building. If you’re looking for page after page of sex this isn’t your book but if you want a good suspenseful RH story this is it.

So Book 2 leaves off where we book 1, with Evie dying and ending up in this in-between realm in Hell (with some other otherworldly creatures!). I thought the time with these new characters was well done but loved when she got to reunite with her future harem. I liked her integrity and honor with bringing them all back to the real world, after some had been stuck for hundreds of years. In terms of the guys, I totally fell in love with Azi in this one and some of the Protectors too (not Trex haha, warming up to him but he is making it difficult at every turn haha). I loved seeing more of Hali and now I want my own magical tiger haha. I loved Evie's snark, her love of bacon (even thought I really don't like it myself haha), and how the guys lower their shields/walls with her and finally see some progress being made with them. I also loved the tension between Evie and her sister (G Bailey did a phenomenal job with the baddies in this book) and how Evie remembers her childhood/raising and she tries to see the bigger picture (not just demon, just angels, just protectors). Book 2 really brought the plot together and now they can strengthen as a team.

For the narration, again 5/5 stars for the female narrator. The anger Evie had for her father was done brilliantly, I could feel it so well and it felt very believable. For the male narrators, I thought their reactions to Evie and slowly admitting their feelings and getting to know her more was adorable and very emotional. Again, some issues with one of the male narrators and then the changing accent/voice for Azi.

Overall, another amazing book in this paranormal RH series! On to book 3 ❤️❤️❤️
