Wow, this book upped the ante! We get to see the battles between Erica and Evie in the trials for the Queen of the Protector. We get to see more development between Evie and the demon world as Salvatore or Demon Queen (I really enjoyed that part of the series, where Evie doesnt let the demons get thrown away time and time again). I looooove the guys and everyone finally getting on the same page haha, took Trex long enough. Its hard to pick my favorite but I think it would be Azi and Nix, then Connor, then Trex. I won't give away anything about the trial or what happens after, but people will be sucked into this story like I was and will love more of the twists. I like that one of the side characters gets more time airtime and will play a bigger part in book 4. I also liked seeing Seth and his daughter Cherie and the interactions with Hali. Oh and the little twist with Connor's mom, great add-on that elevated the story for me.

One thing I couldn't get over was Evie should have had angel powers and she never tapped into them except for the wings/flying part. She should have had subdued ones from her father, or the ones another character stole, but she didnt. I think that was a story loophole that should have been picked up and it kept bothering me with the overall storyline. A couple other places caused some confusion, so I would give the story a 4.5 instead of a 5/5.

Narration was great in this one, especially with all the side characters from the various realms/cities. Same comments as the previous 2 books but not as noticeable as before.

10000% would recommend this series, I am tempted to relisten again already ❤️
