Maxim is one intense alpha male and he definitely followed in his dad's footsteps. April is trying to be the strong independent woman focused on her career path until Maxim storms into her life and gives her no option but to accept that she is now his. April never expected this to happen whilst her ex decided to come back onto the scene and create a whole new type of chaos.

Aurora has written romantic suspense which she seems to have kicked up a notch since the last book in the series and I really enjoyed how it played out. There were times when I thought things were going to happen but didn't and when I thought the suspect would get caught but didn't We were constantly kept on our toes.

This is another super easy insta-love with a guy who knows exactly what he wants. It was great seeing the characters from the other series and seeing all the families blend in their own make-shift way. I cannot wait to read the next book and see more of their shenanigans play out.
