I loved the story, let start with that. I would’ve rated it 5 stars if only I was able to get Callan’s POV! Callan only had 2 chapters. It was only told thru Denver’s eyes. It did make me cry, I actually was able to get into Denver’s heartache when she realized that she got scammed. I liked that the author didn’t make the MFC too wimpy or for that matter to arrogant. She was soft when she had to be & Sarcastic/mouthy when it called for it. I loved Lucas & Spencer and I hope they get their own story cause they were funny. Overall, I would read this one again!

I loved this book, I waited to finally listen to the audible! I swear the audible you hear different sides of the story! Still one of my favorite romance books ever!!! 10/10 recommend!

Callan & Denver: TRIGGERS: homeless, theft, child abandonment, hunger. This is totally different from what I'm used to from these authors, but it was really good. Denver is homeless and jobless but that doesn't mean she's not trying. Though she lacks the credentials, with the help of an unlikely friend at the library, she applies for the job as a law assistant. We only get a little bit of her backstory and I really would've loved knowing a little more about how she ended up in the system or why but it's not exactly pertinent to the story. Attorney at law, Callan Hawk is extremely wealthy and very well known. Though he's closed off and oftentimes rude especially to his new assistant. But he can't understand why he's also curious and protective over her. When he finds out what she's hiding, he decides, no more fighting his feelings. This story is a little bit of a slow burn and a little angsty but not too much. There's drama of some type at every turn. And just because Denver seems to be in a better place doesn't mean that everything is sunshine and roses. That's always a snake or two looking to ruin your day. Really enjoyed this book. Not a bad deposit for S.A. AND C.D.
