After listening to both parts, yeah, i can't possibly call them short stories because neither Part I: Intrigue at the Vampire Ball or Part II: Escape from the Vampire is complete or whole stories. Even worse, part one has a huge section of the story out of order and then you get to listen again in part II.

These stories had so much potential as the concept was interesting. We do hear flashes of interest sneaking in but for me, it was a major flop. Combined between Audible and SCRIBD, I've listened to perhaps 1,500+ audiobooks and these two, I must rank among the worst.
I will give them two stars.

One star because I really do believe the concept had merit, it just needed a ton of fleshing out and more character depth to make the main characters more likeable. I was also pleased it had minimal sex and nothing explicit. I often find the stories I most enjoy don't focus on a sexual relationship between the main characters and instead rely on a strong narrative. I'm not a prude, I do enjoy well written sex scenes but I get really sick of erotic stories hiding behind the guise of YA Fantasy genre where 90% of the book is lead up to or highly descriptive explicit sex scenes with as many as 8 guys. I'm also really not keen on so called bully romance genre where the young woman is subject to endless abuse yet she somehow falls in love with the abuser shes known for all of 2 minutes, but that's a whole other world of tripe.

One star purely for the narrator who does a half-decent job, but a huge negative if she was responsible for the chapter cockup.

It was a good short story but it sounded like a sequel of some kind or book #2 wish scribble would’ve recommended that one before this book. But it was good not a lot of romance little spice but just filler for another book.

This one was okay the writing was okay until the MC got kidnapped then it got confusing and weird and forced she got bit then she's suddenly more powerful than a vampire and she's from a secret hidden super powerful bloodline that was not even hinted about in the first book uh NOT!!! Super forced

Loved the characters. Was more in favour of Marcus than Owen. Cute story in spite of the final pairings.

Well this did answered all of the previous questions that I have before now. I like short story and this writer has done well.

Such a disappointment. I have no idea what made me think part two would somehow be better than part one. For me this is definitely a case of getting pulled in by the pretty art on the cover that keeps reminding me of discovering Interview with a Vampire by Anne Rice. That is really just too much to ask any other Vampire books to stand up to, even many of her own.
    Sorry, defenitive failure.
