    Tammy didn’t even have to read the words on the back of the postcard to know it was from Nick. No doubt it would be like all the others, gushing about what a great time he was having.

    Not that she didn’t love hearing travel tales, her problem was that her ex-husband was doing all this travelling with her money and rubbing it in her face. On the coffee table the postcard lay picture side up: a long stretch of beach, palms silhouetted against an ochre sunset. Then she read the destination embossed in gold: Coastal California.
