OLIVER
When I met her, I couldn’t take my eyes off her.
We were so young and so passionate.
We studied business in the day and each other’s bodies at night.
We always knew it would end with the semester, so we loved hard with no regrets.
LANCE
When I met her, I couldn’t get her off my mind.
We were fresh out of college and ready to take on the world.
We fit each other like missing puzzle pieces.
And just when I thought my life was perfect, it got better. She became my wife.
CHLOE
I met my first love while studying abroad in London.
When I moved home, I didn’t think I’d ever fall in love again.
Until I met him. The man who became my husband.
The one I promised a lifetime to.
Then, my first love came back into my life …
And I realized that love was bigger than any one man.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5One of the best books I have ever read! I’m still processing, but I just know this book will stick with me forever. My heart is totally destroyed but in the best way. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Good book, but I feel like it needed more in between. I enjoyed it and it made me shed a few tears.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I have been putting this off for ages as I was worried about my heart.
I loved it! It took me back to when I was 19 and fancy free; and I had to make the same decision.
I completely understood her feelings and I am so pleased she made the right decision.
Definitely worth reading.
The narration was excellent but misleading as Shane East only narrated one chapter!! - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Timeline was a bit jumpy but absolutely loved this book. It pulled on my heart strings and was the first book to make me cry in a long time. I really connected with the characters.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I went through so many tears! I couldn't stop reading until it was through!! I belive it was the proper ending but still couldn't help wishing Oliver had a happier ending!!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Even if it hurts definitely won't be everyone's cup of tea.
Marni Mann has written a bittersweet book.
Chloe never expects to find a love like she does when she moves to England for school. A love that can only be temporary and short lived until she moves back home. Oliver is everything Chloe never knew existed and never wants to lose but Oliver never wants to hold Chloe back, he wants her to decide to stay.
Except Chloe doesn't stay and years move on, Chloe and Oliver's conversations become few and far apart and Lance walks into Chloe's life. The older, sophisticated man who ticks all of her boxes. She never expects to see Oliver again until a new job in Amsterdam means relocating for two weeks every month and working with the man she never thought she'd see again.
Oliver is still holding out for his one true love but he could never have been Chloe's be all and end all because the outcome would have been different if he was. Unfortunately, Chloe is going to come out as the bad guy in this and there's always going to be an injured party. She had choices and she decided the untruthful path.
I have so many questions still left unanswered. I'm not against cheating books but I think that's because I usually find out if the cheated party was told they were cheated on. There's at least some closure to that but we never find that out with Chloe and Lance. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5this audio Even If It Hurts by Marni Mann called out to me, and once I started it, couldn’t turn it off. It is an emotionally charged, very passionate story about loving two men and the choices made. Ava Erickson narrates throughout with perfection, and Shane East comes for a chapter. It’s a love story with heartbreak and fulfillment of desires all rolled into one fabulous story. And I cannnot get it out of my mind.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5My heart broke that last chapter.
I fell in love with Oliver I never gave Lance a chance I didn't want it to end like that? - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Heartbreaking
I cried on the last chapter. Hearing Oliver's perspective killed me - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5So, I am 46 years old, and this book was brilliant… Moving… I have read thousands of books in my lifetime but this book shows the true dynamics of being loved and loving to people wholeheartedly. It truly is a must read book. It touched me more than most books because it is the story of my life, unfortunately the “Oliver “in my book died recently and I am still mourning his death and the
Ending of our story will never be met just like in this book… However there is a back up, his name is Marc… :-) And hopefully I will have my happy ending with him. Someday soon. I have known Marc for 36 years, I have known Josh who died during Covid… But my husband is not as perfect as Chloe‘s husband is :-( he is abusive in many ways. I have two boys with him… And I am always looking for a second chance in love from somebody from my past who I can trust and be safe with.1 person found this helpful
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I wish there was a 4.5 option. This book is still on my mind hours after finishing it. It hurts my heart so much to think that there isn’t more for him.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Sad story but so worth the listen. If you're hoping to hear Shane East, he only narrates the epilogue.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5You would wish that one of them would have a fault to make the decision easier. How to choose from two perfect and loving man. This audiobook from Marni Mann has captured me from the beginning till the end. Last chapter... & I'm heartbroken!
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/55 stars. Story ended the way it should have. In reality it is a happily ever after ending. What happened was just a temporary dip in the rollercoaster called
marriage. The person who got hurt knew the risks. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Gets good about midways. And a pretty good ending, definitely recommend.
