The 7th season of Harvest Series starts with an exclusive interview of Dr. Thupten Jinpa and Bob Thurman, reunited for a podcast for the first time! Bob was born in New York and Jinpa 17 years later in Tibet and yet they have so many points in common. They are eminent Tibetan Buddhist scholars, translators, specialists in the subject of compassion, part of the very close relations of the Dalai Lama. They were both monks, although they have a family today. In this episode, we’ll discuss their friendship, their thoughts on the future of Buddhism and geopolitics. Although Jinpa met Bob when he was 12, he was then a monk, and Bob was a former monk.
