The symposium addressed all things that sugar is doing to our overall health. They are using a multipronged approach to address how to reduce sugar consumption in New Zealand. There are three things that look the most promising are introducing a tax on sugary beverages, having water only schools and raising awareness about how much sugar is in food and drinks at the grass roots level.
