Description

I really really hate cold showers and did not think I could ever have one. I was the person that had the shower at maximal heat. I made myself start the Wim Hof course. It became very clear I was totally wrong and after a few days of training myself - there I was standing in a cold shower for 2 minutes. Like most things in life, as soon as I thought I knew something I was wrong. Wim Hof and his method has been the subject of decades of research. It has been shown that he can retrain his brain stem to withstand hours of ice, swim under icesheets and walk up freezing cold mountains in his shorts. The area of the brain- called the brainstem is where the majority of the "autonomic nervous system" relays and connects the brain and body. It is meant to be under subconscious control. Using brain imaging it was shown that Wim Hof was able to consciously control this part of his brain. Once again, the textbooks are being rewritten. I am not sure what the new name for the autonomic system will be called. Please take a look at www.wimhofmethod.com and the series of videos. It is extraordinary and definitely helped me be able to take and enjoy having a cold shower for the first time in my life.Support the showLearn more at www.profselenabartlett.com
