Description

What often starts with the pursuit of ‘healthy’ eating, can turn into a very restrictive lifestyle and damaging consequences, resulting in nutrient deficiency, malnutrition and severe anxiety around food.
Orthorexia is based on behaviours that are ‘unhealthy’ or ‘obsessive’ around food. Understandably, orthorexia can be difficult too diagnose as we see a rise in the pursuit of healthy eating.
In today's episode I speak to Dr Rachel Evans, a chartered psychologist and has herself suffered from orthorexia and bulimia. Rachel speaks from her personal experience of her eating disorder and may be triggering for some people.
