Description

+++ TOO BURNOUT TO KNOW +++
There was a time in my life that I would say I had symptoms of burnout but didn't know it.
Actually I didn't want to know.
If I did, I more than likely would not have acknowledged it or agreed with the diagnosis.
Burnout implied weakness.
As a man, not to mention a Caribbean man at that, I should be able to handle anything. I simply had to "tough it up." Don't feel was my motto to life's situation. Just deal with it.
I don't think I'm the only one who thought this way.
I wonder how many people today are showing signs of burnout or is experiencing medical issues that seem to come from nowhere? It's not genetics necessarily but it is somewhat unexplainable.  Could it be burnout?
Here are some symptoms: Type 2 diabetes, elevated cholesterol, coronary heart diseases, gastrointestinal issues, and even death.
In this episode, I talk about the 5 Primary Cause of Burnout as was stated in a research done by Gallup. As a leader, see if you identify with what you're hearing, seeing or feeling in your interaction with your people.
