INTRODUCTION

This is one book that I have wanted to write for a long time, simply because my heart has been grieved far too often at the continual news reports coming almost daily of women being killed by husbands or boyfriends, or simply going missing and presumed dead. And of course it is even more grievous to see a continual stream of news reports of toddlers and children being killed by adults, most often a live-in boyfriend!

This book is but a pebble in the ocean, which will not make much of a wave anywhere, but at least I will have done something, beside praying to God, to expose this problem and hopefully prevent at least some women and children from being subjected to abuse, which often leave lifelong scars, if one has not been killed! We will be looking at some real life examples of this abuse and also attempting to provide some reasons for WHY it is occurring more frequently in our day! We will also provide some guidance for those experiencing abuse, which will hopefully prevent some women from being maimed for life, or even killed!

What makes the abuse of women and children so heinous a crime, that calls out for justice, is the fact that God created the male to be both provider and protector of women and children, starting with one’s own family! That is why God made women and children to be dependent on the male, whom God established as head of the home. And so, when women and children are abused, then who will they turn to on earth if their provider/protector is the one carrying out the abuse?

Women are often the lowest wage earners if they work out, so if a woman was going to leave a man due to abuse, then it would become a tremendous burden and struggle if she leaves the abuser, since they normally leave with the children, which they then have to become the provider and protector for!

Let us also not forget that God established the family unit as the foundation of a society, so as the family goes, so does the society! An abuse in one home affects all of us, for none of us is an island unto ourselves. We all have extended families, friends, neighbors, and co-workers, so an abused woman or child in one family cannot but affect a whole circle of people, and never for the better!

Please note that there is an Addenda at the back of the book, with two sections. In Addendum A, we have, The nature of man and the consequence of sin, and in Addendum B we have a presentation of the gospel, which is the good news that God has given in His word regarding His Son, The Lord Jesus Christ, for any readers who might not have as yet this vital personal relationship with God, through faith in His Son.

What should also
