THE GREATEST LOSS

Reading your article about the two sisters who shared tragedy and joy with their multiple births (YOU, 6 October) made me want to share my story. I too have gone through the pain of child loss and carry it with me every day.

My daughter, Hadassah Esther Maria, was born premature in 2020 at 26 weeks and remained in intensive care for four and a half days and passed away due to complications.

Hadassah was my firstborn and she taught me the meaning of love. I never thought I would have to say goodbye to my own baby. It’s something no mother ever wants to go through, but it’s something we as moms of little angels carry with us every day and know that all we can do is hold onto their memory and live each day for our babies.
