WINNING LETTER

THIS year was probably one of the most challenging for me – 2023 felt like it pushed my limits to see how much I could take. And just when I thought I’d had enough, along came more pushing. Based on conversations I’ve had with friends, I can pretty much say the same for them.

Then right at the perfect time something happened to lift our spirits: South Africa won the rugby world cup and the country banded together as one. People from all walks of life united behind the Boks and the spirit of Ubuntu was once again on display, despite everything else going on.

Tough times we’ve had and tough times we’ll have again, but South Africans are resilient and always eager to see the bright side of life, no matter how many dark days we go through (literally and figuratively).
