Screen Slave - Anthony T.J. Johnson

    SCREEN SLAVE

Why and How We Should Free Ourselves From Our Devices

    By

    Anthony T.J. Johnson

This book is dedicated to my mom, Ruth Lynn Johnson; God rest her soul. It was my mom who made it clear to me that I was a screen slave and she helped me realize the importance of engaging with her while in her presence. Every second with each other matters because when your time is up, there’s nothing you can do about it.

    Conclusion

    Introduction

Something disturbing is happening all across the globe, destroying minds and relationships and making the world a more dangerous place. I am speaking of something most of us use daily–our smartphones. Just look around! Everywhere you go, people are walking with their necks bent over, glued to their phone, being dumbed down into walking-dead zombies. And many of those who are not walking are texting and driving, causing many unnecessary accidents and deaths on the road–multi-tasking is great when preparing a meal, but not so great when driving.

Some will say they are not a slave to their phone; they are in full control. An addict is usually in denial at first when confronted with their issue. For me, being a screen slave is when you have no control or freedom from your phone's hold over
