Life Management - Ioanna Rotaru
Introduction
Dear Reader,
Before you dive right into this book I would like to thank you for your interest in reading it. The main motive behind my writing is to share with the world information that I consider to be very helpful on a daily basis, that offers you peace of mind, or even happiness.
This book contains all the essential aspects of building a peaceful life. Through the years I have collated all the ingredients we need in order to have a life as positive as we all can. Part of this journey has involved me trying many strategies myself so that I can share them with you. After many years, I have now decided that it’s time to share my experience about life management and walk you through all of the steps. My main reasoning behind this decision is because I feel it’s easier to learn from someone else’s mistake or experience instead of you going through it and having to endure negative times to get to the positives.
My passion has always been to see other people happy, as well as being happy myself, but the feeling you get when you achieve helping someone else it’s very rewarding and I love the thought of knowing that I can share advice that will help you live a happier, more fulfilling life.
I have split the book into many smaller sections so that you can work your way through each step. Once you have read and employed each section necessary to achieve a peaceful life I am certain that you will feel happier and more positive about your future.
I really hope you’ll enjoy it and let me know what you think when you have reached the end. Looking forward to hearing from you!
Don’t say anything online that you wouldn’t want plastered on a billboard with your face on it.

Social Media
Social media is a very controversial topic that is widely discussed across the world, and there are so many different opinions surrounding the advantages and disadvantages of its use. The many various applications of social media can offer you a positive experience if you know how to use it correctly. However, it can also bring many negative aspects to your life if you fail to use it correctly or if you use it for harmful purposes.
One of the main positive points of view is that you can talk to people and keep in contact with those who live far away. This method of communication not only keeps friends and families in touch but allows people to check up on relatives that may need more care and attention. It also offers you peace of mind when it comes to keeping up to date with your loved ones.
Another benefit of social media is that it allows you to be creative and express your personality in different ways. For example, when creating an Instagram post, you think and plan out the concept then prepare the actual shoot, take the photos, edit and think of a caption that will inspire your followers. This method of communicating your creativity allows people to express themselves diversely. Many people strive to gain lots of followers so that their creations can be seen all over the world and the use of social media in this way allows you to reach out to people that you may never have been able to access before.
Many people report that social media can take your mind off things like daily stresses and pressure (school exams etc.) and it allows you to rest your mind so that you can recharge and change the way you think and feel, leaving you with a positive mindset and a new view on the world.
However, a negative point of view explains that social media can create a competition between people in society because everyone is made to think that they have to look better than everyone else and compete with the false realities that others post online. This creates the thought that you have to change yourself and your looks just to be better than everyone else, meaning that many people have suffered at the hands of negative social media, being left to feel that they are not good enough.
Social media has also been known to create peer pressure to make you look a certain way just so that you fit in with societal norms and the tech generation. Along with peer pressure, the rise of cyberbullying is one of the most significant and most difficult areas to police. There are lots of stories in the media that warn us about the perils of cyberbullying and the effects it has on victims.
Another disadvantage of social media is that many online hackers work to steal your details. In reality, there is a high possibility that your details could be taken by an anonymous user and used for ill-gotten gains.
One thing is for sure, social media and the internet plays a big part in our life, and it’s only up to us to decide what to take from it. The internet is a powerful tool, and we use it to help develop our understanding or to find out essential information. However, it is crucial not to spend too much time with it.
Many of us use it to seek advice on how to dress, look and do everything in our lives. When you see too much of one thing, you’ll believe that’s the right thing, and if you are following only beauty channels, you’ll see only perfect skin, perfect makeup and perfect bodies. These images are incredibly hard to live up to, and lots of us spend too much time comparing ourselves with them.
We forget the see the reality behind these images and ideas. People edit photos to be Instagram ready, but they are doing it to comply with the perfect image
. The more you edit your photos, the more insecure or perfectionist you are but that’s ok, it’s ok, we all have insecurities, but we also need to embrace that, and more importantly, we need to be aware that’s not real and we all struggle with the same issues. We all have cellulite, wrinkles, pimples, birthmarks, and that’s the reality, we might just need to stop comparing ourselves to some fake photos.
What makes the world beautiful it’s diversity, it’s okay to be fat, slim, tall, short it’s okay to be however you want as long as you love yourself for that it’s incredible! It is this diversity that allows us to be unique and beautiful in our own way without comparing ourselves to someone else, that’s real beauty, the beauty from within.
Nobody should compare his life with one picture; a photograph is just a photograph. Let’s just leave it there. Only God knows what’s behind that camera or those smiles. Let’s appreciate what we have instead of comparing our life to something fake. Social media can turn into a trap if you do not know how to use it.
Let’s effectively use social media and rather than letting it become a destructive force in our lives because our thoughts are potent, and we need to be as positive as we can.
We can never obtain peace in the outer world until we make peace with ourselves.

Acceptance
When it comes to cleaning my filter
, I work hard to challenge myself to change the perspective I have on the world and try to see things with different eyes, especially when I get stressed or frustrated. We all indeed see our surroundings based on the current thoughts, moods and situations; however, challenging yourself to change your perspective can help you to see things in a new light.
If you are wondering how I realised this, then the moment that gave me a hint was in the underground, as I was going from Bank Station from a line to another. I got so angry that I almost got into a fight and I do not agree with violence of any form. I was rushing from one line to another, so I got to the incredibly congested elevators and was unsure whether to walk or wait with all the other passengers.
After deciding to wait, I found myself being squashed and shoved around. There was a woman behind me that was also in a rush, but she was so close to me that I began feeling very uncomfortable. By the time we reached the top of the stairs, I pushed her, which admittedly was an abysmal choice! To this day, I am unsure of why I made that poor decision, but it resulted in her trying to trip me over and demand to know why I had pushed her in the first place. I told her that it was purely accidental, but this story goes to show how we can all behave negatively when we do not take time
