    1. Classic Yeast Donut

    Ingredients:

    500g plain flour

    50g caster sugar

    10g salt

    15g instant yeast

    250ml warm milk

    50g unsalted butter, melted

    2 large eggs

    Vegetable oil, for frying

    Instructions:

    Combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast in a large bowl.

    In a separate bowl, mix the warm milk, melted butter, and eggs.

    Gradually add the liquid ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms.

    Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface until smooth.

    Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.

    Roll out the dough to about 1cm thickness and cut out donuts using a donut cutter.

    Let the cut donuts rise for an additional 30 minutes.

    Heat oil in a deep fryer to 180°C and fry the donuts until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes per side.

    Drain on paper towels and cool before glazing or coating with sugar.

    2. Simple Cake Donut

    Ingredients:

    350g self-raising flour

    150g caster sugar

    1 tsp baking powder

    1/2 tsp salt

    1/4 tsp nutmeg

    175ml milk

    2 large eggs, beaten

    1 tsp vanilla extract

    75g unsalted butter, melted

    Instructions:

    Preheat oven to 180°C and grease a donut baking tin.

    In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg.

    In another bowl, combine milk, eggs, vanilla, and melted butter.

    Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.

    Fill each donut cup about two-thirds full.

    Bake for 10-12 minutes until a toothpick inserted into a donut comes out clean.

    Let cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
