About this ebook

Hope. Perhaps the emotion I hate the most in the world.

I never understood why people loved to hope so much. Why every time I failed, they asked me to hope more. Hope increased my torment because it made me believe things one day would be better.

Follow me on this journey through my mind as I think about hope, perhaps in ways it has never been done before. Because this is not a book for those looking for ways to become hopeful. It's for those who wish to understand this emotion a little better.

And by the end of this, I hope you can also realize hope for what it really is.

    Hope - Mia Sanchez

    Preface

Growing up, I was never a severely hopeful person. I often looked around, trying to find ways to be more positive despite the issues in my life. Yet I grew up to be a person who resented hopeful people, and their ability to effortlessly find hope in the most difficult situations.

So, in a way, writing this book seems like something that I should have done years ago. Yet, here I am, going through a phase in my life when I finally feel the need to think about this topic. Hence, I finally feel ready to share my thoughts with the world.

If you have ever struggled to be hopeful, and believe good things will happen soon, this book is for you. I talk about hope in a way it probably has never been done before, in a way that might offend a lot of people. But this is for those that know it’s okay to not be hopeful all the time.

I hope you can relate to my questions, to my accusations, and to some of my confusion. And I hope by the end of the book, you look at hope in a way you’ve never done before.

Chapter 1 - The Vilest Emotion

    ––––––––

Hope. Probably the vilest emotion in this entire world.

It keeps you hanging on a non-existent thread. For that one call that will never come, for that one text message that will never come. It keeps you wishing for something that is probably not meant for you.

It’s the emotion that I despise the most. Something that I so desperately wish I would never
