About this ebook
Sitting in my room
thinking what’s there outside?
It’s 2 in the morning
and I’m dreaming.
Is there a window open?
For my dreams to come true …
Window opens for opportunities
to have a chance in life
hoping each time is right
and at a right place
with so many things to do
and so many to be fulfilled.
No one should bottle up their emotions or wishes. Fueled by a heartfelt desire to help others understand they are not alone, A.E. White shares poems that spill from her heart and soul and reflect on her life’s journey to date.
Within verse that explores the blues and depression, controversies that include societal issues, all aspects of love and heartache, the ups and downs of the teenage years, and more, White reveals a poetic glimpse into her personal experiences as she welcomes and accepts the feelings that accompany living a full life.
Poetic Thoughts is a collection of diverse verse that candidly reflects on the emotional journey of a young woman.

Poetic Feelings - A.E. White
THE BLUES
Everyone wants to feel the rhythm but not the blues.
However, these blues are real that had tears shedding from my eyes
and burned with emotions of sadness, depression and anger.
Take a journey of these blues with me,
maybe they’ll be real for you also.

One stroke, two strokes and come.
All it takes is two to collide.
All of it was heat of the moment.
No emotion or string attached.
Few weeks go by and some rest later.
Nothing feels different,
or so I thought.
Sleep, sleep, eat, eat, gone.
Minutes turn into hours of sleep.
What’s next? I feel dizzy.
Took a test, surprise it’s positive,
positive that I was surprised and scared.
Positive I felt lost, useless, and unworthy.
Eight weeks in my belly, how can it be?
Am I even here or ready?
It can’t be, I’m unfit.
Mixed emotions caught on fire.
How can it be happening?
Going under, don’t feel a thing.
Eyes closed, I sense a reality dream.
In a deep sleep until I can’t anymore.
Body trembling with pain,
not just physically, but emotionally.
Days turn weeks, soon turn years.
Reminiscing ‘What If’s?’
All these ‘what ifs’ or ‘what would’ve happen?’
A young lady almost turned mother,
feeling pain from the consequence of pleasure.
Prayer for this woman’s womb,
for she hopes and prays a child
