Since a young age, writing poems has been an outlet to navigate my emotions and my thoughts. My writing has grown tremendously over the years. As a guy, it’s hard to talk about feelings and emotions. Add trust issues, and you’re left with no one to talk to about it. So, what did I do? I spilled my heart out into my iphone on the Notes App. Whether it was expressing how I felt or even a small uplifting phrase that I could read in the future, I spilled. I did this in private for years, collecting hundreds that later turned into thousands of notes left unread to the public. It wasn’t until I was faced with the most difficult challenge in my life that I decided to share my words with others. I needed help but I never knew how to ask for help so I figured helping others would be my way of helping myself. I knew that if I felt alone, there were other people out there that felt the same way. So, I created an Instagram account and started sharing my words to the world. I wanted my words to be found by people who truly gravitated towards them. I wasn’t focused on whether I’d be Instagram famous or whether people knew who I was or what I looked like.
