Walter's Spicy Veggie Mexican Pizza
Introduction:
Mexican cuisine is known for its vibrant flavors and bold spices. In this recipe, I will be combining the essence of Mexican cuisine with the beloved pizza to create a delicious and healthy veggie Mexican pizza. Packed with fresh vegetables, zesty salsa, and creamy avocado, this pizza is sure to impress your taste buds. So let's dive into the recipe and get cooking!
Ingredients:
1 pre-made pizza dough (or you can make your own)
1 cup black beans, cooked and drained
1 cup corn kernels
1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 small red onion, thinly sliced
1 jalapeno pepper, thinly sliced (optional, for extra spice)
1 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese (or vegan cheese, if preferred)
1/2 cup salsa of your choice
1 avocado, diced
Fresh cilantro leaves, for garnish
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to the temperature recommended on the pizza dough packaging.
Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to your desired thickness. Transfer the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Spread a thin layer of salsa evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a small border around the edges for the crust.
Sprinkle half of the shredded Mozzarella cheese over the salsa layer.
Arrange the black beans, corn, red bell pepper, red onion, and jalapeno slices (if using) on top of the cheese.
